Days had passed and Miyeon continued to struggle in putting together some sort of scary story to tell around the producers’ campfire. Being someone of her nature, she was easily scared by just about everything. Despite the long list of fears, she wasn’t sure which of them could be strung up into a story worthy of being deemed frightening by the production team. Not that airing time matter much to Miyeon, but it was still a bit of a pride issue. Why take the time of telling a story if it were to just be denied in the long run?
At some point in the day, she’d seriously considered making it some kind of horrific comedy. Devoting a few more hours of wholesome thought into the idea had eventually resulted in her coming to the conclusion that the idea was a train wreck just waiting to happen. Giving up completely on the “creativity” of her own mind, Miyeon decided to turn to the internet for some kind of inspiration. After scrolling and searching through various listed sites, the girl stumbled across far more stories than she should have, dwelling into their frightening plots and forgetting about the world around her.
This had only made the girl even more jumpy than usual. Hearing what she’d interpreted as a scream caused a high pitched shriek to flow from her mouth far too easily. As ridiculous as she believed the action to be, Miyeon went against her gut, running out from her tent to find the source of the noise. Upon doing so, her eyes found themselves looking at a tall unfamiliar figure. Taken aback, the girl jumped backwards, nearly falling onto her tent. Immediately, her hand shot up to cover her mouth, muffling any sort of sound wishing to escape from it. She’d made enough noise already– if the stranger still wasn’t aware of her presence, it may be for the best (depending on who he was and why he was there).
If this footage ever made it on the air, Jinwoon was definitely going to have a field day. Because, lo and behold, Siyoung did manage to freak out over a firefly -- a firefly of all things. His train of thought was interrupted when a girlish shriek suddenly pierced the air, however, and he couldn’t help but let out another yell in response to the sudden sound. “Wh-Who goes there?” Gritting his teeth, he took a few steps forward before waving his flashlight around to try and illuminate the source of the shriek. It was after hearing some sort of rustling and redirecting the beam of his flashlight to the source that he laid eyes upon a girl with a hand clasped over her mouth. “Oh.” He sighed, but whether it was one of relief or exasperation was hard to tell; either way, he could put two and two together. “Sorry, did my... Shout from earlier... Scare you?”
Hesitantly, he extended a hand in greeting before an awkward smile crossed his features. “I’m Sino of ICARUS, but you can call me Siyoung. We’re going to be roommates anyway, right?” Switching off his flashlight, he grimaced before suddenly retracting his hand. “Unless you’re not part of the show, Roommate. Then I’m just apologetic for accidentally scaring you tonight, and if you’ll excuse me...” He took a step back. But there were cameras in front of her tent. Wasn’t that a sign? Still, maybe he shouldn’t assume, and it was better to be safe than sorry. After all, why interact with a female on camera if it wasn’t necessary?
