The following image was made using Wolfram Mathematica’s Voronoi mesh, city data, and some fancy graphics. I was so curious I had to see for myself.

I forgot that this map only shows 48 states so I took the top 48. It looks slightly different near Kansas City.

People talk about getting rid of the electoral college, but balancing states and population would also probably work. I wonder what the vote count in 2016 would do to this map. Probably the metric shouldn’t be just distance but take into account current borders or geographical features.
