I think when people deflect from criticism of the macho/aggro nature of modern Hardcore by saying its kayfabe, they miss the fact that most dudes have zero understanding of nuance or irony considering they live in a world that they believe revolves around them. Your satire is shit if your target audience becomes the very thing you wish to satire.
