im not a traditional teacher though - like in a classroom. i teach colorguard/marching band and ive been a TA, intern, and studio assistant in the past. im considering teaching in the future but thats a lot of college and im so beyond done with classes. if i do end up becoming a "traditional" teacher, id be an art or astronomy/physics teacher. preferably actually for late high schoolers or for college students cause i am not strong enough to be like ryland grace and teach middle school. and im terrified of elementary students throwing up in my classroom lmfao

i cant speak for most teachers but i promise you that there are lots of cool teachers out there! usually we just. arent really encouraged to talk about it lol. cause you gotta remain "professional" and separate yourself from your students. i didnt really get to know some of my teachers until after i graduated! we can be nice and stuff but like we're supposed to maintain that level of separation between students and us if that makes sense.

One of the strangest things about coming on this website is realizing that I’ve spoken with the “tumblr accent” my entire life, and just never realized it. Just causally making proclamations like “BEHOLD” and referring to anything mildly inconvenient as “my nemesis”. And it makes me wonder how many people irl just assumed I already was on tumblr.

and weve found SO MANY with these specific instructions- meaning theres probably SO MANY MORE

I worked in this sphere for a while, and the reason why is the specific detection methods we use. Basically all of them require the exoplanet to be big and the star to be small in comparision, as many are found near brown drawf stars.

I love that book so much!!! And funny story, I had placed a hold on the book at my library, and I assumed it would take like a week or two (since it wasn’t like a well known book) it took four months, before I got it.

I had to renew my hold TWICE before i was able to get the book. I was so annoyed lol!! And then when I got the book, it took me about two hours to read it. Two hours!!! After waiting four months!!!

I don’t regret the wait though it was an amazing book
