Seeing as we are about to venture to RSA, just wanted to put out a quick reminder Chenya's full name (Artemiy Artemiyevich Pinker) is a reference to use of patronymic names, implying he shares a name with his dad. The western equivelent of this would be him being Artemiy Jr.

Also could potentially suggest Queendom is multicultural and his family is from somewhere else, yet still able to do different traditions as it doesn't appear to be a thing for any other characters/regions which is an interesting thought

Hi! I'm actually very curious about this! I always thought that Chenya's full name is quite fascinating and really wanted to know more about it...

Correct me if it's wrong but Google says that "Artemiy" is derived from Artemis, the Greek goddess of the moon. I wonder if it's because the Cheshire's smile looks like a waning crescent moon? And Pinker seems to make reference to the color pink, one of the og character's colors (aside from purple).

But maybe they have other meanings or are mentioning other things?

On the Queendom being multicultural, this seems to be a pattern because since the countries follow the vague world-building of the movies, it's possible that the characters have different cultural inspirations. Also characters like Rook or Baul Zigvolt that were born/from Afterglow Savannah are an example of that too!

That is correct, as greek ideas and culture got to the settlements that went on to become these countries through the byzantine empire (along with a writing system and orthodox christianity).

The waning moon is actually a very interesting point! My thought was moreso that moon goddesses are often assosiated with cats, and while it isn't often directly seen as her domain, syncretism could have given that assosiation to Artemis as well.

And yeah the pinker is def a reference to the color, kinda like nya is for him being a cat. Not exactly subtle but it's fun.

Honestly I cannot wait to see more of him in the main game, hopefully we will get more an expansion into his character... imagine this sort of ability for an overblotter.

I worked in this sphere for a while, and the reason why is the specific detection methods we use. Basically all of them require the exoplanet to be big and the star to be small in comparision, as many are found near brown drawf stars.
