Care now before it’s too late!

Don't start caring about somebody just because something bad happens. Learn to care before then. This whole thing with Lamar Odom reminds us that even celebrities are human and are deserving of kindness. Call him a "crackhead" and I'll remind you that crackheads are human, too. My dad was an alcoholic, and that is what eventually took him from us. But, my dad was a human, a husband, a father, a grandfather, a brother, an uncle, and a son. He mattered to people. He STILL matters to people. Lamar matters to people, many people.

Although they are gone, they still deserve the most in respect, love, and remembrance. Try not to embrace the negative, because it will consume you. Rather, remember the lost ones with pride. You are proud of them, and do not add a past-tense “were” to it, because you still are proud. Remember... With pride...

Suicide Prevention Month

One of the greatest men on YouTube, Daniel Kyre passed away September 19, 2015 from an attempted suicide. If you're not into YouTube or Lets Plays, you may not be familiar with Markiplier​ or Cyndago. But it has hit the community hard.

This month is Suicide Prevention Month. Suicide takes lives, numerous lives, every day. People who feel unloved, unwanted, unworthy, or damaged beyond repair. I have been in that space, where I feel like life is too much of a burden. I have felt like there is nothing I can do to fix my life, so I should just press the stop button now.

But while suicide is NOT a selfish choice, it is a choice that affects friends and family. While I have seen status's up asking to copy-and-paste, I choose not to, but to create my own. Please, take a moment to think about those who are struggling with suicidal thoughts, family complications, health issues, money struggles, worries about employment, or just in-general feelings of worthlessness or failure.

Today markiplier and Cyndago reported that Daniel Kyre took his life this weekend... My heart, our hearts, fans from all over the world are sending love and hugs their way. Please, respect their privacy while supporting them. Suicide is tragic for everybody. I’ve dealt with suicide in the family. September 18, 2015 the world lost one of its best. We are thinking of you, Dan. Love and respect for life....

Remember, if you or somebody you know is depressed and at that brink, please, say or do something, even if it’s a hug or a handshake. Let them know they’re not alone, and know YOU’RE not alone. YOU MEAN SOMETHING! Do NOT forget that!

It's high time I take back my life and make something of myself. Burying the hatchet tonight, and the shovel with it. I'm done allowing the opinions and words of others to rule my life. If you don't want to bother with me, your loss, not mine. I'm going to make something of myself one day. There will be a day where my name will show up and you will wonder what you could have done differently to stay in my life. I'm going to become something, maybe not today, tomorrow, or within the year. But shits going to get real, and they are going to turn up with me standing proud on what I became. Today is the day Joy becomes who she deserves to be, not what everybody wants me to be. I will be a proud, strong woman. No maybe, baby, but I WILL.
