Also my entire lore on them being here is after Gi-Hun is taken back to the games Woo-Seok is mindlessly trying to make sense of the situation after being fucking tased when Jun-Ho realizes there are two small cards lying on the table when they re-entered the Pink motel. When he picked them up he realized they…In-Ho wanted him and Woo-Seok to join the games. So he brings it up to Woo-Seok showing him the card and explaining how this might help them get to the island and stop the games faster. (He’s hopeless when it comes to finding In-Ho again.) and at first Woo-Seok’s very…hesitant and not into the idea but after a few minutes he sighs and agrees to call the number and he leaves.

And boom! It definitely makes sense trust me im so smart…but fr it’s a very rough idea around how they would realistically get there and I can definitely make it better if I tried harder but not currently in that silly mood

I just wanna point out bc a lot of ppl aren't aware—and info abt this is scarce and rarely depicted well in media—that Hwang Junho IS a disabled character!

He has only one working kidney, out of three—and it's a DONOR kidney. Meaning, he is immunosupressed, and dependent on medication to suppress his immune system so it doesn't attack and kill his donor kidney. He has to continuously take medication, every single day, or his donor kidney could reject, and he will DIE.

These medications also come with a lot of side effects, and aren't pleasant to be on, since they literally SUPRESS YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM. COVID was (and likely still is) probably absolute hell for him.

Even being wounded (as he was when Inho shot him) would be a major concern, because his body is ineffective in fighting off and vulnerable to any kind of infection.

Given that the alternative is being on dialysis for the rest of his life—as in, having to have his blood removed from his body and cleaned by a machine before being put back into him, either several times a week at minimum to multiple times a day depending on his specific type of kidney disease—and everything that comes with being in kidney failure, this isn't a bad trade-off.

However!! I think it's one that people could stand to be mindful of when creating fanworks of him. Speaking from experience, having your whole life revolve around taking medication, and having your access to it, is also life-altering.

He's disabled. He has a disability. If you want to more effectively portray and discuss Junho, I strongly recommend doing some research into the experiences of kidney donor recipients and what it's like to rely on immunosuppresants.

Shipping Junho with every older (maybe slightly morally questionable) character in the show (the leader Kim/Salesman) cos if Junho didn't have hyung issues, he definitely has now.

His brother was the main guy figure in his life to the point that this obssessiveness he has in looking for Inho is borderline codependent. It's like Junho can't function properly until he knows Inho is home.

He doesn't see it but he has a type after s1. Jagged, morally ambiguous, maybe a bit mentally unstable older men who's seen some shit.

That's why he got attached to s2 Gihun easily.

Woo-seok grabbed the man as he bowed and turned to leave, shaking Hwang insistently. "Aii , did you hit your head out there today? You never asked me to do any of this. Aishh. I'm just doing whatever my gut’s tellin’ me is gonna get those – damn –  bastards –” he gestured wildly, “--stuffed full of some goddamn – fuckin’  – bullets!” He shoved his finger into Hwang’s chest so hard that he stepped backward, Woo-seok following. “It’s not – for you or anything. So don’t get any wrong ideas, little goody two-shoes.” 

The fabric of Hwang’s shirt screeched, nearly tearing, as he yanked away.

“Aah, come on! Quit acting so pitiful,” Woo-seok muttered, and he dragged Hwang back, bringing them stumbling together, snagging the other man in his arms. Soft hair clawed between Woo-seok’s fingers as he grabbed him, jerking Hwang’s adorable ruffled face around a few ways until satisfied with the angle. He aimed the perfect landing, their lips squelching together lewdly over a muffled protest.
