𝜗ৎ Now that the Olivia’s albums it’s out, I bet you think about me.
You seem pretty sad for a girl so in love… that's why your relationship ended.
You went through a rough patch in your relationship with Megumi. You seemed happy by his side, but it bothered you inside that he wasn't very open about his feelings for you.
You overthought things, overthought things until you cried.
But now? Now you could allow yourself to be depressed in the happiest way possible: Olivia Rodrigo released her new album! You would listen to it all night on your couch while tears streamed down your face.
Megumi, on the other hand, felt your separation felt very sudden. It hurt him. It hurts him not being with you like used to be. The two of you cuddled up in your bed, sometimes you even managed to make him laugh, a magic that was only yours.
He loved you. He loves you.
He goes on your social media hoping to find out your emotional status. Are you okay? Was it a good decision to break up? Did you miss him as much as he missed you?
He looks at your stories; you still have him on your close friends. Itadori said that was a good sign.
You only uploaded the lyrics to one of Olivia's new songs. "Less" is the name of the song.
Megumi knows, he knows how excited you were for Olivia's album. He knows you've been obsessed with her and her songs for years, and he even saved the album countdown on Spotify on his phone, but he would never listen to it. It was just like carrying a part of you with him. As if all the bad things were going to pass and he would be with you listening to the album.
But… why not?
Why did you upload the saddest song? Why do you say you wish he had loved you less?
Megumi prefers not to think about it too much. He gets out of bed, dragging the sheets that covered his body from the cold. He stumbles out in his slippers to put on his sneakers and leather jacket in the entryway.
He doesn't know if he took out his keys before locking the door, he doesn't know if he still has his phone. But he runs, sometimes he walks, but mostly he runs toward your house. Your address is memorized in his head.
Maybe one night will be enough to fix everything. Maybe if he arrives and steals a few kisses, you'll decide to forgive the past and choose a future with him.
But it's Megumi. He only thinks about it, he doesn't do it.
He arrives at your house and, breathing heavily, knocks on the door. His heart is full of emotion, as if he's about to vomit it all up, as if he regrets his decisions now. But he doesn't back down.
You open the door as Olivia's album plays on repeat in the background of your living room. You think you've found your favorite song.
Your heart stops, your breath catches in your throat.
"Megs..."
He doesn't say anything. He just stands there, his nose red from the cold night air, his hair a mess.
“I’m sorry… you have no idea… I don’t understand. Why are we like this? Why if I love you? If you’ve been my best friend for years? Why can’t you tell me how you feel?”
Suddenly, you’re filled with questions. You feel the emotion in his voice. You see the emotion in his usually dull eyes.
The words won’t come out, not even though you want them to.
Is it a bad idea? Can’t two people reconnect?
Your feet move as your heart races. Because you have the man of your dreams in front of you, and you broke up with him two weeks ago, yet he’s still here.
You open your arms as you throw yourself into his embrace, and everything assaults your senses. His scent, his touch. He’s gentle, he’s strong, he holds you completely.
You love him. It’s the only thought that crosses your mind. You love him. You love him.
You don’t want him to leave. Not now. Not ever. Because his arms welcome you so warmly. Because when you lift your head to look at him, his lips greet you with an unexpected passion. It's slow, it's deep. He cups your cheeks and tilts his head to press his lips harder against yours.
"Tell me... tell me what's wrong. What's the matter?... please." His voice is almost a whisper as he kisses you. Mwah, mwah, mwah. "Please."
You pull away just a little, shaking your head. "With you? Nothing's wrong with you, Megs... I just don't want to talk about it right now... please."
"No way, I want to help you." He continues caressing your cheeks. Pleading eyes, and you feel like you're melting.
You bite your lower lip, thinking. "Can we talk tomorrow?"
"Why not now?" he insists.
"Because I need to think."
"Should I go home?" he asks, but you shake your head again.
“Stay…”
“I don’t think that’s healthy—”
“Megs, please.” But he can’t say no when you look at him like that, when you lean in and kiss him like that.
Between kisses, you pass your front door. You grab the sides of his jacket, pulling him closer as if his departure depended on it. But you can breathe when he closes the door behind him.
All the love you have for each other melts into that kiss. It melts into embraces when he finally pulls you close by the waist, making you stand on your tiptoes, making you run your hands through his hair.
It’s fast-paced. The way he says goodbye to his jacket and it falls to the floor, the way he no longer hesitates to touch you… the way he falls onto the couch with you on top of him.
For a moment, you're embarrassed by the outburst and pull away, still sitting on top of him, looking at him.
"Are you sure?" he asks. You just nod. "Could you… turn those songs off? Because I don't think it's a good background."
"Are you kidding? I swore I was going to listen to her music all night."
"It's depressing."
"I was depressed."
“Really?”
"Yeah. I missed you." Megumi smiles and reaches for the TV remote on the table in front of the couch. He turns off the TV and before you can complain, he speaks.
"I'm here."
"It's Olivia Rodrigo, Megs."
"We'll listen to her in an hour." You tilt your head, smiling.
"An hour? You have plans?"
"We have plans."
Hiiii, i love Olivia Rodrigo :)
