Sadly, we feel much the same about many of the cities and states in the United States.
I REALLY wanted to go to the Boundary Waters in Minnesota, but Minnesotans have let their Socialist Democrat elected officials change the complexion of that state much for the worse such that the state seems to be at war with--or taking fraudulent advantage of--most of the rest of the country, to the point that I am sure that I will never cross that border, even if I was willing to feel like I was entering Somalia.
I really wanted to go to California to see the Redwoods and Sequoias and the coast around Big Sur and McVay Falls, but Californians have allowed their Socialist elected officials to abuse federal taxpayer funds and their own citizens to the point that I know that I will never cross that border, even if I was willing to deal with the millions of criminal illegals they've all but allowed to take over that state.
Similarly for the San Juan Islands of Washington State. I refuse to enter a state that elects someone like Seattle's Socialist mayor and entrusts her with so much power and influence.
I loved going to upstate New York in the Catskills and lower Adirondacks. But I'll never go back to a state ruled by Socialists like Hochul, AOC, and Mamdami, and so many others.
I loved the portions of Virginia that I've visited, but I'll not return until there has been a complete overthrow and overhaul and total rejection of their Socialist state government.
In short, if the state or its major cities import and harbor and protect and financially support illegal aliens with public funds and gives them taxpayer funds, including federal benefits, overrun their citizen population with Muslims then supports them with public funds, then allows the Muslims and illegals to call the tune for the state, and the state or city government is anti-police, anti- ICE, soft on crime, and won't prosecute violent protesters and allows them and Muslims to block streets and highways and occupy public spaces, as the hovernmentninflucts their Socialist policies on their citizens, I just will not go there, spend my money there, but their products, or otherwise contribute to their abuses and frauds and corruption.
When their own people won't rid themselves of them, and their imported troublemaking leeches, they've ruined it for me. I don't have the patience or the inclination to deal with their "woke," "politically correct," Socialist, lawless policies. Better to avoid them like the plague.
