2020
2020 has been tough for the most of us - some might've been tougher than most. We’ve all dealt with silent battles we told no one about and wept during the wee hours of the night ‘til our eyes dried up. Our hearts fought for those who couldn’t fight for themselves and grieved for the lives we couldn’t save. The year was filled with moments we thought that giving up was the better option.
So yes, 2020 felt like one big unending storm. But it wasn't just about that, it was also about the tiny wins that we’ve had despite the madness that was going on. It's the small businesses that kickstarted; passions that were discovered and rediscovered; friendship that was found and continued despite the distance - may it be virtually or physically. And in the midst of what felt like an eternal abyss, it was those little wins that kept me going, it was those little wins that held me together. Learning more about who I am as a person and picking up whatever’s left from the battles I’ve lost, as cliche as it may sound, I'm looking at 2021 as a new start, a new chapter. No more trying to fight for whatever’s not for me, but slowly trying to learn to let things flow and let things be. 2020 was a mess, yes, but we pulled through. We made it. Happy new year, 2020 was a little too poopy.
You didn’t love her. You just didn’t want to be alone. Or maybe she was good for your ego. Or maybe she made you feel better about your miserable life. But you didn’t love her. Because you don’t destroy people you love.

Not a single hint of Christmas vibe in our house, brb crying
pronounce my name like a firework; undo me in a rainburst, unzip my cloud skin. i’ll pour onto your floor. hold me like earth, open up your hands to me, let me find all of your dandelion secrets and i’ll take their teeth out of your veins. we can make each other spring even in the winter.

But there is always a November space after the leaves have fallen when she felt it was almost indecent to intrude on the woods…for their glory terrestrial had departed and their glory celestial of spirit and purity and whiteness had not yet come upon them.
