This is so pretty it brought actual tears to my eyes.

Link and Ghirahim arguing ad nauseam about directions, about enemies, about violence and strength and weather Link should help or not others.

They argue and argue and scream until they’re both hoarse. There’s nothing more to argue. Link feels tired. Ghirahim may be made of steel but he isn’t.

Sometimes he regrets. Some days he sees the good in Ghirahim and he thinks he can be a sword of justice, but some days he can only see the demon, the psycho, the hellfire, and he is tired, he wants to give up and go home and forget he ever tried to master Ghirahim’s blade.

But them Ghirahim kneels. He kneels because he’s difficult, he’s impossible, but he’s also sure of Link. He knows there’s no one else worth fighting for, fighting with. He’s a better sword because he’s Link’s sword, because he’s wielded by the hand of courage. He could never hope for a better destiny.

“You’re the chosen hero, and my loyalty will always lay with you. To the gates of hell or to the fields of heaven, I’ll be by your side, come what may.”
