Thor, in despair over a situation: What would you do if you were in my shoes?
Loki: Okay, first of all, I wouldn't be caught dead in those shoes.
Roper, holding up a board with the word 'dying': There is only one thing worse to our operation than dying.
*Roper pulls a piece of paper away to reveal the words 'Jonathan dying'*
Corky: *gasps* Jonathan
Roper: No-
Loki: *sighs* I couldn't sleep at all last night.
Mobius: You know what they say, when you can't sleep it's because someone is thinking of you.
Loki: ...but who would be thinking about me at 3 in the morning?
Mobius: ... *visible panic*
Leonato, holding up a board with the word 'dying' on it: There is only one thing worse than dying.
Leonato pulls off paper cover to reveal the words 'Beatrice dying': Boom.
Benedick: *gasps* Beatrice
Leonato: No-
Eve: If you were to die, what would your last words be?
Adam: Finally.
Eve: No-
OB: What does 'take out' mean?
Casey: Food
Mobius: Dating
Loki: Murder
OB, jotting down notes: Interesting..
Loki: I'm organizing a surprise party for Thor.
Mobius: Weren't you angry with him?
Loki, filling a balloon with bees: Don't be ridiculous.
B-15: Mobius, are you in love with Loki?
Mobius: *sweats profusely* .....no
B-15: Then why do you draw 'L&M' in hearts everywhere?
Mobius: *still sweating* It stands for lime and mimosas.
loki is a power bottom & mobius is a service top
that's all, thanks for coming to my ted talk bye
it makes me so sad/mad that they used fenrir as a throwaway accessory for hela in ragnarok instead of giving him (with significance) to loki
like, that is his baby ๐ญ that is his son ๐ญ
GIVE HIM HIS SON ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ
loki is jotun. Loki is Jotun. LOKI IS JOTUN. LOKI IS JOTUN!!!!!
just thought I'd yell it so maybe marvel cinematic studios can wake the fuck up and remember
But truthfully, this was a HUGE plot point for his character. If not THE plot point. Every action he spirals into doing is directly attributed to the discovery revealed to him in that moment. The situations those actions caused him to be in are because of that moment.
That moment he found out was when he snapped. If it hadn't happened, his world and sense of self and place in his family wouldn't have shattered. Sure, he was still treated like shit and his reserve may have broken further down the line, but it was that discovery that led to every. single. action. of his after that which moved the plot of the next movies along.
Loki never found out? Then he never confronted Odin in the vault about the lies he was fed his whole life. He never would have known the reason why he was treated so differently in their family. He never would have hated himself so much, feeling like he was a monster, causing his mental break. That hate wouldn't have been there to spur him into killing his own biological father, Laufey. He wouldn't have tried to kill all of Jotunheim. He and Thor wouldn't have had their fight that resulted in him hanging off the edge of the rainbow bridge. He wouldn't have let go. He wouldn't have ended up as one of Thanos's children because the fall wouldn't have happened. Hence, bye bye to Avengers 1, cause without Loki being under Thanos's control, it wouldn't have happened. Avengers 1 never happened? Then Loki wouldn't be imprisoned for the crimes he committed on Earth in Thor: The Dark World. ALSO, huge one here, Avengers 1 never happened? Loki never ends up with a chance to steal to tesseract, meaning he doesn't get arrested by the TVA. Meaning He Who Remains stays in power, and the scared timeline stays as the only one. Meaning Loki never ends up taking the position to hold the multiverse in his hands and give life to every new, flourishing timeline.
I missed a lot of things in there, but you get the general point. None of those things would have happened if it wasn't for Loki finding out he was Jotun.
And I know, I know, some are gonna say, "Yeah, that's how stories work. Major event happens, which causes all the other events that take place after that." And bingo. That's my point. Loki finding out he was Jotun was THE major event.
So why has it never been acknowledged again?
Yes, in the movies it is obviously mentioned in passing about his adoption and such. But why is Loki never shown as Jotun again? He goes through huge character arcs in both the movies and his show. But in those arcs, and changes, and redemption, they never allowed Loki to truly accept himself. All of himself.
And it's not even like they do it in a way of like, "well, he's changed but he still doesn't accept his true self as being Jotun, and that's something left for us to explore," no. They have just completely forgotten.
It feels like this extremely important part of his character is just shoved under the rug. I know they've shown him as Jotun in like the little blink-and-you-miss-it hologram of a variant or in What-If, but those moments are played as jokes. I want to see our Loki take his Jotun form. I want to see how that affects him. That it's difficult for him, and raw, and emotional. That maybe he can grow into a place of acceptance for that part of himself. Maybe he does it in a fit of rage that he can't control the transformation and starts throwing ice everywhere in a battle. Or maybe it's during a moment that he slips into his true form because he sees that it can be used to his advantage in a tricky situation. Just something. Some acknowledgement that they remember this is a part of his character. As long as it isn't handled as a light-hearted joke and is actually given the honor and gravitas it deserves.
I think I feel this a lot with the mcu (particularly speaking about projects with Loki in them, like Thor movies, his show, etc.) that they have a lot of really interesting storylines or parts of his character that they just.. never dive into again after setting them up. And it's really frustrating to see the lack of follow-through or care from them.
So in conclusion: I would really like the mcu to remember that Loki is Jotun and it's a huge pivotal point for his character that has led to a lot of the other events in their movies so let's acknowledge it please?
loki is jotun. Loki is Jotun. LOKI IS JOTUN. LOKI IS JOTUN!!!!!

loki stripped odin of his power and banished him to earth just like odin did to thor..
and that's really funny tbh
one of the many entertaining things to watch during much ado about nothing was how tom's hair went from, upon entrance, flawlessly groomed to progressively messier and sweatier (the natural curls coming out) after much dancing and rolling around on the ground in piles of confetti during act I, to it being back to styled, combed, and set perfectly again when the curtains raised for act II (hair/makeup obviously fixed it during intermission), and idk why but it brought me much joy to see the journey
I just said "oh odin, shut the fuck up" out loud while reading a fanfic, and I feel like that really encompasses my opinions on the old man and his involvement in the situationsโข๏ธ quite impeccably
Anyone who went to Much Ado with Tom and Hayley, do you know of people are waiting to greet them by the stage door?
Yes! There is a queue at the stage door when the show and curtain call ends. Security checks ticket dates before the actors come out. The ticket has to be from the current show, if it is from a different showing than the one that just finished, they will ask you to leave the line.
Tom, Hayley, and a few of the other cast members came out to our queue during the two times I was there to see it. It's never promised that they come out after a show, but from what I've been seeing online, it seems like they come out for most.
They will autograph show merchandise as well! (anything that isn't show merch isn't allowed to be signed). There are barricades that the queue stands behind, and no selfies/photos or touching is allowed. The security guard that accompanies them dictates the time in which the actors stay out to sign, so if you end up further down the line, chances of meeting them are a little more slim. But still absolutely worth it to be in line and see them from there!
Hope this info helped and that you have a great time. It's a spectacular show, you're in for a real treat! If you have any other questions, let me know and I'll see if I can help. ๐นญ Enjoy!
