so uhhh fun story... I accidentally deleted my original, FIRST tumblr account when trying to delete a sideblog... ugh.

so if you’re looking for my old blog here... it’s just up and gone (after 7 LONG years smh). this sucks majorly but tbh I’m not super big in the sso community at this point so... but I did get to make this my sideblog instead of my main after all this time, ha!

my old posts might be floating around still? and if that’s the case then maybe I’ll try to find them and reblog them potentially. idk. i’m kinda numb abt this. it sucks :(

SSO Tarot Cards

With today's card, the Major Arcana is finally finished :DDD This has been a long serie of drawings, as well as my introduction to tumblr (and the SSO community here, which I come to absolutely adore). I really want to thank everyone for all the kind words, theories, discussions, encouragement, reblogs... I am really moved by all of this, and I hope my art will continue to bring you joy and I hope for many more discussions to come <3 Moving forward, I plan to post more illustrations of my Jorvik OCs, introduce my AU, as well as continue posting more usual fanart. I'm also really interested in the events often hosted in this community, it really is so cool to see other's OCs and take on Jorvik. I also love making theories and writing... so prepare for a lot of yapping :DDD That being said, I would love some ideas for future projects. Is there anything in particular you'd love to see? Any art ideas, maybe venturing outside of Jorvik- inspired things? I've seen many people in this community are also into fiber art, so I'm tempted to share some of my works in that area too. Please, please, please let me hear your thoughts on this!

i'm sure others have made comments along these lines. i can accept the game's storyline shifting and being renovated, retconned as they settle into a direction they want, but i think the rough thing as a long time player is that these changes don't end & there's no forecast in sight that the story and characters will ever..'settle'. to be clear, i don't personally mind as much that teased but still unreleased parts change around even drastically in development - better that than them being in the game and then being pulled back out under you - but that isn't always the case. you can accrue understanding of the current lore, but there's nothing that assures you it won't shift majorly again in the future. it's a bit tough having played this game since 2014 and feeling like i genuinely know less about how the story now reads start to finish as people who just started yesterday, and there's no way of playing back through the altered material in the beginning without making a new account. new quest updates have been fun for me nevertheless, & i certainly like the added interactivity of things like dialogue options, but it's hard to be quite as invested in what feels now like a discontinuous thread - hard to make wacky theories, hard to really feel you've got a grasp on characters identities. it feels at times more like playing through a big WIP, always needing to be mindful of the still-wet paint.

Hello!!!! I'm so excited to finally be able to make the winter shaders!!! They are still always a little bit of a work in progress, but I'm pretty happy with how they are so far! I'm most likely going to keep working the Aurora and Moonless night - Aurora feels a little too flat for me and just cannot settle one the settings I want for Moonless night, so keep a look out for updates if you get those two!

Besides the new winter presets, I've done my "final" touches to the autumn presets for now. I know it's a little late to post an update for them, but ah well. Additionally, I've learned a little bit more on better load orders, so I might go back on some of these, rearrange some things and them post them again. Anywho, here's how these shaders are looking!

So anyone who has been playing Star Stable Online for a while now will know of the song playing in the background of the hair salons across Jorvik. I have genuinely been trying to find it for over six years, and I am still not getting closer to an answer. It’s such a weird niche thing but I have been determined to solve this mystery for a while now. I have tried to use Shazam to find it, I’ve tried searching up the lyrics, I’ve even tried looking though the Star Academy game songs (for those of you who don’t know, Star Academy was one of the three series of games that came out before Star Stable Online.)

The song seems to be in English, but the only words I can make out are what may be ‘whatever you feel like’ in the chorus (?) and what sounds very clearly like ‘everything you say, everything you do’ near the end. I messaged Star Stable a couple years ago about this over Facebook, and even they said they didn’t know.

Any help would be appreciated! :) We may finally uncover this mystery!!

ive actually been on the same hunt for this song!! ive dug through the star academy tracks to looking for unlicensed music w matching lyrics. however, i found this on reddit.

take this w a grain of salt, since this is just an anonymous claim, but it seems like the song might actually be inaccessible due to copyright/licensing i assume.

on the off chance this can be of any help one day, i wanted to add that the only other lyrics w good enough sound quality (besides those you've mentioned) sound like "ill be there".

I’ve always assumed a big chunk of the lyrics are, for the most part: “…everything you say and everything you do. whenever you feel like you’re lost and confused, I’ll be (around?)… I’ll be there.”

There’s a little bit after that but I can’t really make it out (something like “will release you on your own”??? maybe? but I have no idea about the small portion before that). It very much feels like a faster, poppier prototype of Lisa’s “I’ll Be There” to me because of the lyrics.

As far as finding the whole song though… I think it might just not exist out on the internet like the screenshot gladewood posted said?

I’d be glad to be proven wrong though bc I 100% have always been curious about this song (it’s been haunting me since 2012 - child me was forever burdened by not being able to find it and adult me will always be able to hum it by memory ajdjsjsk).

all right, I think I’ve dug up about all I can find for now...

really bummed out to have lost all of my stuff from the past 7 years (all because I was too stupid to ask myself “is this deleting my ACCOUNT or just the sideblog hmmm”). this was my first tumblr blog, the tumblr community I essentially “cut my teeth on,” so to speak. but to be frank, a lot of it was ramblings and stuff I haven’t really ever thought twice about (I did originally start this blog when I was 13 after all, sheesh!).

a bit more upset to lose my photo posts, but I should still have all of the original screenshots. as for art - I never really posted much and I like to keep my old stuff but I can definitely do better now. glad to have found some good highlights of my time in the sso community however! overall, I don’t know that I really made all that much memorable stuff on this blog... at least, not recently anyway since I was taking an indefinite break for like... three years? much of it was fun in the moment though, for sure.

so for now, I’ll let this serve as a memory of what once was.

maybe I’ll decide to post here again, maybe not!
