its cape town time
“Hey, Superman!”, She pull out like a small stack of papers from her bag. “I work with children and they made some stuff for ya!”
They’re just various doodles of Superman saving the world or whatever they usually see him doing on tv, one such paper though is a photo of Superman drawn over with a sharpie to give him like glasses and a silly expression.
“oh haha, one of the gremlins must’ve put that one in there, sorry about that.” She smiled and scratched the back of her neck.
he looked at the stack with a bit of a sad puppy look but smiling through it "this is so nice thank you" he said with a voice crack

Why must it involve me? 🥺

Superman flew into Gotham looking around and listening out for anyone in need of help. When he pinpointed a cry he flew to it only to find Batman taking care of a situation. The big blue stood across the alley announcing himself "Hello, so you're the legend?"
@sstandsforhope
Batman almost jumps at the arrival.
…
“Superman.”
“What are you doing here. In Gotham?”
"A friend told me you were real, I had to see for myself" he had a bright smile on his face excited to meet the legend
…
“Why did you even assume I wasn’t real?— I’m very real.”
He’s a start contrast to Superman’s personality.
“… Nice to meet you I suppose.”
"It's nice to meet you too" he said bubbly "And well people in Gotham often refer to you as a legend and so it goes around like that much like Mothman I imagined"
“I’m incredibly real.”
He says with a pause realizing he’s still holding a villain by it’s ankle. He puts the villains leg down onto the floor.
“Anyways…is metropolis safe without you or..?”
"oh yes, usually I dont do patrols at night anyway plus I still have my ways to be sure" he said not giving away his super hearing but alluding to it
“right. Good to know. I’d hate to keep you occupied.”
…
“You actually have powers… I mean flight and all? I’ve met villains with powers first time properly meeting a hero with one.“
"i dont mind you occupying me- me time- my time ahem"
"oh yes i do i can do lots of things" he demonstrated by flying a bit above the ground
….Right. Floating. Very… helpful.
Doesn’t it get inconvenient? Like don’t you hit your head places?
"oh yeah all the time well when i was learning i have a pretty good handle on it now" he lowered back down
Hm. I suppose it is pretty useful then. I heard you got into some trouble with Boravia? It was pretty brave of you to get involved.
"Someone once told me brave is just another word for stupid" he laughed and looked at the man in black "You understand, I just did it because it's what was right.. Or what I thought was right."
“Apologies. Didn’t mean to call you stupid I think that though your methods are quite colorful… I don’t think they’re idiotic.”
"Oh I didn't think you were I was calling myself stupid. Do you mean colorful in a literal sense?" he joked motioning to his suit compared to the other's
“Don’t call yourself stupid. Even if it’s a joke.”
He looks at his suit.
“…Both literally and figuratively. Perhaps it’s the powers you have but we tend to do things a bit more differently. You have a more… sunshine approach? Perhaps it’s a Metropolis thing.”
"sir yes sir" he said taking note to not joke like that around the bat. "Sunshine approach? hah I like that.. I mean it isn't all sunshine and raimbows in Megropolis, though Gotham is more known for it's dark moodiness."
“I’m sure it’s not. But I’d pay for you to spend a week in Gotham. It’s pretty depressing here.”
“What are your thoughts on Gotham so far? As a Metropolis person?”
"It's depressing" he joked "It still has hope, that's why it's persevered so long. Not to mention how they have you, I saw the crime rate has gone down a significant amount since the legend of the Bat started going around."
“Gotham is just 95% crime and 5% hope so… makes sense. I didn’t know much about the overall crime rates going down. With the stuff going on feels like it’s not budging at all sometimes. Like last Halloween the entire city got evacuated and I had to fight over… 70 criminals? In one night? It wasn’t fun.”
"Considering how halloween used to be for Gotham, thats at least an improvement" he smiled "Though you might need a bit of help over here, yknow if things every get rough like that again im more than happy to help a friend"
“… a friend.”
“Thank you. I will keep that in mind. Though I’m able of handling great stuff here on my own.”
“The same goes for you too, contact me anytime. The bat signal is for everyone.”
“Metropolis seems like a fever dream after experiencing Gotham. There is this journalist I know from there who’s quite happy though.”
"I have no doubt that youre capable. I won't say no to a little help here and there if I need it. "
"Oh, a journalist?"
“Yeah. Some bright, kind guy. Perhaps you might know him too… but doesn’t matter.”
"maybe" he said knowingly happy "metropolis has very good reporters"
“So I’ve heard.”
"yeah.. so why the bat?"
