Apparently after The Amazing Spider-Man 2, a bunch of internal emails got leaked after Sony was hacked. Sony wanted to make a cinematic universe with a bunch of new villains being introduced, like Kraven, Black Cat, Venom, Carnage, and Jackal (along with the Sinister Six, who were supposedly having their lineup altered after TASM 2). They also planned to make movies centered around Miguel O’Hara and Ben Reilly.

I’m don’t think that a Spider-Man Cinematic Universe like this would have worked. Judging by the emails, I think this would have been a pretty big and inconsistent mess (especially since they just couldn’t figure out which characters to use and which order to put all the movies in), and I’m happy that we ended up having Spider-Man on the MCU instead.

Just got done watching the Backrooms movie! I really liked it :)

Can’t really give my full thoughts on it without spoiling anything, but I can say that it was quite different than what I was expecting, but that was a good thing.

If you’re a horror movie fan or a fan of the backrooms, I have a feeling you’ll like it too.
