Some guy really wrote on a comment I made on YouTube “Why do they have to make Ellie aggressive. Why can’t they just make her feminine and lady like. What are they afraid of? Why does every female character need to be masculine and do what a man does. Women are not aggressive and blood thirsty, only men are”

And I am like, The Last of Us it literally set in post apocalyptic America were literally someone or something that can kill you any second and you want Ellie to be a delicate flower and not aggressive and know how to kill? You are basically saying you don’t think women should have the power and mindset to survive in a kill or be killed setting, Like really? Not to mention, Ellie was literally born in this world! It’s all she has known! Her not having a survivalists mindset would literally make no sense!

I just can’t believe there are people out there who think like this. Your masculinity is so fragile you can’t even fathom women not being “lady like” and not depending on you in a post apocalyptic setting. So far he hasn’t wrote anything back. Probably has nothing logical to say.

My thoughts on Anthem so far ...

Just a reminder that if you don’t want to see Anthem stuff, then block the tags #anthem or #anthemcritical since I have no doubt I’ll be posting positive and critical stuff about the game as we learn more.

At the moment, I think the MP aspects look really good. My initial reaction was that it looks like a fun game for people to play online and in groups. The gameplay looks very cool from the tiny amount we saw. The Javelins look awesome. The customisation looks great. The graphics and online world aspect looks really amazing. You can play by yourself (yay) but it’s a lot harder as there are no AI team members (boo).

However, as I’m a person who is more interested in SP and story lines, I’m disappointed that we still don’t know much about the story line or characters yet, and that the focus so far has very obviously been on the MP open world aspect. I’m bitterly disappointed that we can’t play offline and that we won’t have romances. The dialogue wheels and dialogue choices are, by their own admission, simpler then we’ve seen in other games, which I also find disappointing. But there is a SP option, which is awesome, and there is a story line and characters who you get to know - that’s a good thing.

I’m waiting on more info before I make up my mind about anything, but I’m not excited for this game in the same way that I was for Andromeda because it feels like they’ve stripped out so many of the things I enjoy - in depth dialogue, romances, the ability to take AI characters into battle with me. I could be wrong though.

I’m looking forward to learning more about the game, especially the story line and single play aspects.

Honestly I wasn’t quite sure about this, since the Control ending leaves no physical body behind. Was thinking something along the lines of what happened to Grayson - more or less similar to a husk, with internal robotic parts. Liara would still recognize her, though.
