                          it  must  come  with  the  promotion,  this  sixth  sense  of  hers.  cragen  had  it.  and  she  didn’t  realise  until  she  was  catching  a  paper  ball  amanda  threw  at  fin  from  across  the  bullpen  that  she  had  developed  it  too.  liv  hadn’t  even  looked  up  as  she  caught  it,  barely  even  acknowledged  the  feat,  dropping  it  in  to  the  bin  as  she  passed  and  gently  whacking  the  blonde  upside  the  head  with  a  smirk.  rolling  her  eyes,  liv  reached  over  and  liberated  her  old  partner’s  coffee  mug  out  of  his  hand  as  she  walked  behind  him.      ❝     𝑨𝑾,  thanks  elliot.     ❞     it  tasted  like  shit  as  she  raised  it  to  her  lips,  but  not  drinking  it  would  defeat  the  point  of  taking  it  in  the  first  place.

‘   ANYTIME ,  BOSS.  ’   elliot smirked,   unable to help himself.   she wouldn’t let up of course but that coffee was terrible,   he’d barely been able to swallow it himself but was exhausted enough to put up with the foul taste so he knew though she’d  pretend  to save face it had to make her wanna gag.    ‘    so what’d’ya think of what we’ve got so far.   ’    he said motioning toward the board outlaying the case.   honestly,   he’d adjusted to liv being the boss easier than any would’ve expected though he did miss their partnership.   she’d always had his respect but even more so since he’d came back,   watching her fill cragen’s large shoes.
