We don’t cover every POV, but we crawl through as many VODs as we can, in the name of better scene work!

“Your turn,” Techno offers. “Tell me something nice.”
“You first,” Philza quietly deflects. “I’m a bit short on rememberin’ nice things right now. I’m gonna need a little help.”
Techno smiles. “Our first night in Antarctica. You’d been scouting the land all day- you came back swearin’ up a storm about how trash the place was to build on. I couldn’t understand half the words you said. I was just spacing out thinking about how the snowflakes kind of looked like stars caught on your wings.”
“I’d started to hate the stars before I met you,” Philza confesses. “Cus they move, y’know? I realized that if I lived long enough, the constellations I grew up with wouldn’t exist anymore. It felt like losin’ a piece of the people I shared the sky with.” He turns to Techno, just slightly. “And then I met you. Seein’ the stars in your eyes again, I didn’t mind so much if it changed. Cus at least you’d have gotten to see ‘em.”
Starting with Philza and Techno meeting in the Nether, it covers their long immortal journey through life, queerplatonic yearning, a world of gods and eldtrich horrors, and deciding death is not only a woman, but prime wife material.
But it’s also about the smaller things.
Grief, loss, the passage of time. The smell of bread. Falling in love, for every given definition of it. The generational cycles of trauma and abuse, the inherent sadness of immortality, the tragedy of power and its corruption. It’s about the cycle. It’s about those who break the cycle, and the people that never got to escape it.
