if you have a very strong/powerful character and you DON'T muzzle and chain them and beat it into them that they're only good as a blunt instrument of violence and use their completely natural reactions to this mistreatment as 'proof' that they're innately dangerous and the mistreatment is necessary + justified then what's even the point tbh

a picture is worth a thousand words
the average ballpoint pen can write approximately 45,000 words in its lifetime before needing a refill
therefore, to possess a value equal to that of a pen, one would need 45 pictures
how much mightier than the sword is the pen, exactly?
i need answers
can a pictures build be competitively viable in a sword-dominated scene is what im asking
Whumpee who just drifts away, drops off, goes silent, etc. They escape from whumper or get out of the hospital or drag themselves home from whatever finally broke them, and they don’t call anyone. They just sit and wait for something to happen. Maybe they wait for their body or mind to get better, and of course it never does. Maybe they’re waiting for a knock on the door or the ringing of their phone, and it never comes. No one noticed they were gone. No one is coming.
Darling, I would do it again

The arcane chews them up and spits them out somewhere unknown and far away from home. Jayce is dying and Viktor can't let that happen, but there are significant obstacles in his way. One, his power is diminished. Two, his touch is making Jayce's condition worse. Three, there's something wrong with him, too.

jayvik alien AU to Tainted Love music video... Because I can?
I love it when Whumpee doesn't even realize the danger they're in. They don't see that they're walking straight into the spider's web. And by the time they realize it and try to get out, it's already too late.
spines, scars and a little kiss <3
Thinking about the specific horror, almost like culture-shock, of when a character first encounters the whump.
When they first see this place where evil things are considered normal and they have to play along unless they want a fight. Fancy parties where something is clearly wrong about the servants. Normal people newly hired to unethical labs. The classic underground slave auction or “pet” store.
They entered this place willingly, and unless they slip up, they will be able to leave. But can they keep their head down? What if that isn’t enough, and they have to act like they’re enjoying this? What if they are?
Oughhhhh scruffy jayce for an AU I have with an insert hiii
A lucky charm whumpee.
They bring luck to others, just by standing there. Of course it doesn't work on them. They might even be less lucky than most.
Do they feel it, every time someone drains them by scratching a lottery ticket next to them ? And, of course, winning ? The drain, the exhaustion? Maybe it's even painful? Do they have the slightest control on the amount of luck they give away, or are they like a tap others can turn on and off ?
How ? Maybe whumpee is nonhuman, and it's just one of their characteristics. Then you can put them on a leash and drag them everywhere with you. Luck guaranteed.
Or maybe it's a world with powered individuals. And this is whumpee's power. Which everyone abuse. They have a lot of friends, but none care about whumpee. They just care about their power, no matter how painful it is. Maybe both heroes and villains want to use them.
Or maybe it's due to an experiment. Lab rat whumpee created just to bring luck to others, a living artifact.
Just a silly idea.
been losing it over this for 10 minutes
Characters who’ve already accepted that no one is coming to help them. Through their youth, through everything that’s happened to them, not once has anyone cared. Why would it be any different this time around?
It’s probably their own fault. They never reached out, or they drove people away, or they worked their ass off convincing everyone that they were fine and always would be.
And yet, once in a while, they find themselves hoping. In their darkest moments, beaten and starved and staring dead-eyed at some impossible challenge, they can’t help but cry out. Begging or hoping desperately for someone, anyone, to come save them. For someone to care about them in any way.
Of course no one comes. If anyone hears it’s probably their tormenter who takes it with a chuckle. More likely there’s no one there at all.
dehumanization tropes i love
-not allowed on furniture. remain standing or kneel on the floor, no sitting
-not allowed to make eye contact
-being silenced immediately every time they try to speak
-casual manhandling, being dragged alone because they’re not trusted to move by themselves
-casual, nonconsensual touch. randomly pulling them closer, absently playing with hair, manually adjusting their posture
-giving orders without explanation
-giving orders they know are arbitrary, just to exercise power
-talking about them like they aren’t even in the room
-authorizing other people to monitor and control them
-being kept in restraints 24/7, with movement restricted even further in their downtime
-degrading their natural behaviors and reflexes. stare is creepy, smile is ugly, flinching is disrespectful, etc…
-putting down their hobbies/interests
-ascribing ill intent to all their actions and assuming the worst from them
PRIME VIKTOR: THE FINAL CHAPTER (maybe)
The (possible) end of the story is here! Thank you to everyone who has read this story, and as always kudos and comments are so, so appreciated! I've loved writing this with all my heart. JAYVIK NATION NEVER DIE

Thinking about a royal whumpee chained to their thone...
A puppet ruler who can't be trusted to behave, so their "advisors" keep them bound with what looks like decorative jewelry to those who don't know.
An overthrown royal forced to kneel next to the throne, chained like a dog, as a symbol of the new ruler's power.
A ruler bound by magic to their throne, to the responsibility of their kingdom. They took this on willingly, but the cost of the crown must be paid in exhaustion and blood.
