well a bit like the grinch in his christmas hater era but hey there's nothing wrong in using the holiday season to show your loved ones how much you love them. that's what it meant to be for – but then people fall on the trap of consumerism and start getting stuff that they will only use for a month and perhaps a half if you jump on early. i might sound contradictory saying this but i love it if i'm honest. some years i was more reluctant to celebrate but now i do want to soak in all the holiday cheer. so nothing wrong not wanting to go crazy on decorating the house! he is, i'm probably not having him the entire month because i adopted him with my ex so i wanted to give him a little present even if he has no idea what it is for. your boy would love one! though i don't think they will love the idea of waiting to open one each day. how about a peppermint mocha hot cocoa? there are plenty of recipes out there for it, and i think you would really enjoy that one!

i'm not sure how i feel about being like the grinch in his christmas hater era -- which means i need to get a little more holiday, cheer right? have my heart grow three times the size, or whatever the hell happened in the grinch movie. i've managed to buy presents for everyone i love though -- so i feel like i'm on top of the game with that, and hopefully i've got them things that they'll use for longer than a month but we'll see. it's good though that you're all about soaking up the holiday cheer now, and not a scrooge like me! but my mom did come over and say it was a disgrace that i didn't even have a tree, so i now have a tree and have decorated a little, but i'm still not going to go crazy! it's tough when you have to share a dog with an ex, so i understand and i'm sure he very much appreciated your gift to him! and i ended up buying my pup one and you're right he very much enjoys it -- he looks forward to the treat every day, though i think he thinks he should get all the treats at once so you're right about that. oh, peppermint mocha sounds amazing and that's going to be what i make next time i make some hot cocoa. i love everything peppermint though, so there's no way i'm not going to love this. || @mdelyncline

You're not letting anyone down at all, if it makes you feel better. I think everyone understands the strike and now are just happy it's over, so everything can sort of get back to normal! Are you starting up work again or getting ready to at any point? I get wanting things to keep busy, especially when you have all the free time. Though I have to say now that I have the free time at home, although by choice, I'm sort of relishing the days I don't have anything to do but visiting with family and play with the new baby. I see what you mean, though it has to be satisfying eating your catch, like you could just survive on your on food if it came to it. Sort of why I'm trying to learn how to garden, but I don't know how well that's going. In that case, we have to rent a ball bit just for this cause! I'm all for that and I'd wear something sparkly, as promised. It's okay now, since I can just order hot wings since I'm at home. As long as nothing's happened and you haven't been murdered or had any essential organs go missing, it means you're being careful with taking people home. But yeah, my home's just a sacred space and I wouldn't let just some stranger in. I'll say it's what they deserved too for calling you Bucky, but honestly, how can someone not laugh at that? And if you can't laugh at yourselves in the middle of sex, doesn't really lend to the best time or dynamic if you ask me. I'm officially an uncle now, and it's a pretty sweet gig! And needless to say, my parents are over the moon. That's definitely the downside of being an only child, though do you have friends with children that need a babysitter? You can sign her up, keep her busy! Nothing wrong with having fun in the meantime, and that's my philosophy about it too, not hinging everything on finding that person. leigh-anne had anticipated this trip since the first mention of the idea. now finally, they were able to follow through with their plans to go back to cabo. this time, getting there with sebastian's boat. there was no rush and she was happy to take it all in, just being in the moment. her schedule was clear and her children with their father, it'd been a while since leigh last experienced this level of calm. going on this holiday with sebastian made it that much better. time spent together grew to be what she looked forward to the more they continued to talk and see each other. they had more in common than she would have thought and he brought out that fun and silly side of her. sometimes she needed that. after how busy she'd been, she was happy to relax and have a good time uninterrupted with just the two of them.

they'd been on the boat for a few days now, nearing their destination. the sun was just beginning to set as leigh walked out onto the deck, bottle of red wine in one hand and a couple of glasses in the other. she was comfortable in sweats, no makeup, and her curls tied up in a bun. a smile on her face as she approached seb. "there you are, darling." as if it was hard to find him when there was limited space. "care to join me for a drink and watching the sunset?" she offered the bottle for him to open. she would truly never grow tired of sunsets. the changing colors of the sky as the sun slowly set, then seeing the stars appear so clearly in the night sky. it was an unmatched natural beauty. "i'm glad we're doing this. first time i've travelled by boat to my vacation, it's been so nice to not be in a hurry." leigh moved to sit on his lap, humming softly as she settled comfortably. brown eyes gazed out across the horizon. sebastian would admit that he'd been looking forward to the trip since they started to plan it -- but things had gotten a little hectic for the both of them, but finally, they were able to meet and travel to cabo just the two of them. taking his boat had been a brilliant idea if you asked him because there was no rush and they could just enjoy the water and when they got to cabo, they got to cabo. he was thankful that leigh-anne was able to get the time away, knowing that sometimes it wasn't that easy being a mom of two, and he wanted to make sure he showed her a great time this whole vacation. plus he'd admit he rather enjoyed the time they spent together, there was something about her that kept on drawing him in, and he loved that she was someone he could laugh with or someone he could make laugh. he loved watching her let her hair down and have fun with him, which is another reason why he was thankful for this trip to cabo as well.

he was very thankful for the fact that the boat he had had a sleeper cabin so they were able to take a few days to reach their destination -- which they were thankfully getting closer to and soon they'd be soaking up the sun from the sand. the sun was starting to set and his eyes were focused on the water when leigh-anne walked out onto the deck, and he smiled as she moved closer to him. of course his eyes roamed over her like they normally did, and he was thankful that she was so comfortable around him because he knew he was pretty comfortable around her. "where did you think i traveled too?" he teased in question since he spent most of the time at the wheel unless they were taking a rest. "but a drink and watching the sunset sounds like a fantastic idea, gorgeous," and with that he grabbed the cork that he had close by since this wasn't the first bottle of wine they shared and opened it at ease before pouring them each a full glass. "i'm glad we're doing this as well, and of course, it makes me happy that this is your first time doing something like this, as i'm all about sharing new experiences with people," sebastian admitted. he wasn't remotely phased when she settled herself onto his lap, and he just wrapped an arm around her waist before looking as the sun started to sink into the ocean, a site that he'd never grow tired of seeing. "oh, i'll never not love a sunset either. and i'm always up for a good sunrise too, if you ever want us to wake up early for that." || @lcighannnes

That sounds like a plan, though if you're going to be at the Horror Nights event this weekend, I'm all for some adventures there if you are. Maybe we can scare people as much as they try to scare us.
