"Isaac," he returned, nodding. He held Standing Bear's gaze evenly, and didn't move when Standing Bear glanced him over.
"Seems we aren't," Isaac agreed. Again, he didn't begrudge Standing Bear's caution or suspicion--but he had plenty of his own, and he hadn't made it this far in life by playing his hand too early. "Most folk don't come into raider territory unless they're lookin' for something."
He let that hang in the air. A question, if Standing Bear wanted to answer it.
"I think we are all looking for something in this world..." Bear gave a bit of a smile and settled back down again to rest. A cryptic answer bit not entirely out of the blue or untruthful. But of course he was looking for something more specific. People. In the long years following the attack on his home, he had a never ending search for his sisters.
He would like to think his four remaining sisters were all alive, but he knew it was unlikely in this world. Still, he searched.
