I am still so upset about the Valko situation but I can’t get the trailer out of my head 😭😭 praying that they will bring him back but I haven’t played since they canceled and aren’t planning to lol reader is gender neutral!!

CW: light suggestiveness (Valko licked your fingers lol) but mostly fluff!!! Also I couldn’t remember if MC has a balcony or not but in this story you do!

Valko must’ve known that you couldn’t sleep.

Why else would he send that cliche you up text? Other than knowing that he would get a laugh out of you of course. Time started to become a blur, all of your missions blending together. It seemed that as soon as your head hit the pillow your alarm was already going off. You had no time for yourself, let alone anyone else.

“unnnnfortunately” you responded, with a crying animation. Your mind decided to race at the worst time when your body was begging for rest, but if you had to be up because of Valko, you wouldn’t complain. He made you feel so energized no matter what time of day (or in this case night) it was.

When was the last time that you could just…exist? Just lay in your sheets and rot? And from the sound of your stomach growling, you can’t remember when was the last time that you ate either.

“Sounds like someone’s hungry :P”

You were in the middle of agreeing with him, about to keep the conversation flowing but paused. You guys were texting— how could he hear your stomach? His hearing was good but not that good. Not miles and miles away good. Unless…

You sat up, already making your way to your window. Huffing, you peered down to see Valko, trying to tuck his large frame under your balcony. “How long have you been out here?”

“Long enough for you to finally notice.” He shrugged, tossing a bag up into your arms with just a hand while pulling himself up effortlessly. Show-off.

But the bag he tossed distracted you from whatever comment you were going to make. It was warm. And it smelled good. He noticed where your attention went, tail brushing along your legs as he smirked. “I thought you were losing your touch for a second.”

“Yeah right, like that would ever happen.” You shot back, resisting the urge to rub his fur. “I knew you were out there, just wanted to see how long you could hold yourself up.” You lied.

“Whatever you say, little hunter.” Valko pinched at your cheek, and if you were quick enough (and not starving) you would’ve tugged his ears. But your stomach roared and any fight back you had began to dissipate. Valko’s smirk grew into a smile, his laughter filling your home. If it was someone else you would’ve been embarrassed— but it was Valko, someone you didn’t have to hide from.

“Looks like I was right in dropping in.” Valko fell back onto your couch, body splayed out. He groaned, and you had to tear your eyes away— who did he think he was to have his muscles bulge like that? It’s like he knew it would too, especially under the tight-fitting black shirt. It annoyed you how perfect Valko was— not just in looks but personality too.

He proved it when he tugged you down, purposely pulling you into his side. He was toastier than your food that was growing cold, arm lazily resting around your waist. Which speaking of—

“Here.”

Valko held up the food to your lips. He waited there expectantly, face relaxed with a soft smile.

“First you get me food and now you’re feeding me? You spoil me Valko.” You teased, but you did feel your heart flutter just a bit.

“That’s what mates do.” He answered honestly, inching it closer. You parted your lips, both out of surprise and to oblige him. But Valko wasn’t offended, if anything he seemed relieved. His ears twitched when you reached over his lap and into the bag, placing some of the food in between your fingers.

“Well then here.” You returned the favor, waiting for Valko to part his own lips. He looked taken aback, a weak excuse to turn you down on the tip of his tongue no doubt— but you weren’t going to give him the chance.

“You said that this is what mates do right? Then let me be a good mate.” You poked at his lips once more, getting satisfaction at how flush his neck and cheeks were growing. His golden-eyes never broke contact with your own as his fangs bit down, his mouth just stopping at the tips of your fingers. “Tastes good.” He rumbled, licking his lips, his tongue catching any crumbs on your skin.

You felt your own skin growing hot, touché. He smirked, his own cheeks still flushed, flashing his fangs. You were sure that you were going to combust until your couch started to shake, a soft thump starting to bounce off your walls.

You couldn’t help but laugh as Valko’s tail wagged against your pillows. Your laugh was infectious as he joined in chuckling, bringing you into his chest and rubbing the back of his head sheepishly. “It has a mind of its own sometimes.”

You don’t know how long you and Valko just indulged in one another, but all you know is that you never wanted it to end.
