“…hello? I don’t know if anyone can hear me, but if you’re there, I don’t know how much time we left before things get bad. Aside from us, no one else has noticed it happening. The Commons are getting angry again and things are… getting tense.” [muffled: “yeah, I’ll be out in a second.”] “the “King” is trying to help fix things, but… really, who would listen to that guy? The strange thing is, we know someone is trying to cause an uproar for some reason. We just don’t know who. If I remember, I’ll keep updating this with the results of our search. If… there is someone on the other side, in any of the dimensions, please send something back. Just… if you know anything.”
[muffled: “yeah, I’m coming. Did you find that engine part yet?”]

Hot take- Yoko Sakaki
Respectfully, she is a flawed individual. She has not done much, if anything, to correct the harmful impact Yuya had on Yusho. She instead enforced these lessons, giving Yuya the card that would eventually lead to him believing he killed his father and him losing his body to Zarc- the card being Smile World. Not to mention her thing with Reed Pepper grosses me out. Isn’t Reed a child? I’m not here to just complain about her though. She did actively try to help her child, even if her methods were… unorthodox, i suppose? She does love Yuya and just wants her son to be happy. Unfortunately, that also ties into her issues- she willingly let a child go into a war. She enabled her husband’s toxic lessons, and her son’s choice to risk his life in a war he was not prepared for. I am open to constructive criticism and comments on Yoko.
Ily so much, this is so based. None of these parents are great. Except for Shuzo/Skip, Yuzu's dad. That guy gets official parental rights for all the Lancers, I do not make the rules.
Argument for Skip- i love him, but also why did he not try to go save Zuzu himself instead of letting Yuya do it?
Argument for Skip, he is in no way shape or form ready for an interdimensional war. He isn't that good at the children's card game, nor is he that athletic. He got his hutt handed to him by Yuya in the one duel we witness of his, and Yuya starts out on the weaker end of the Lancer Power Spectrum. Unlike Yuya, he isn't actually a pro duelist. As much as I also love him, and I do acknowledge that parents can do crazy things for their kids, there was no way he would have lived that. Trusting Yuya was probably his best option at that point.
Alr i suppose u have a point there.skip u get a pass but I’m watching u (Saw wild’s rb too)
Mood. I don't trust most Yugioh adults.
Speaking of, I am putting every Academy adult into jail. Along with Reiji's mother, because wtf with Reira.
please do.

another Arc convergence fun fact session!
XYZ Edition!
Yuma was the first person Yuto beat when he started dueling. It was the only time he got to beat Yuma, bc after then, Yuma started to train really hard with their other friends.
Hazy and Alice are bffs. No one is happy about it.
Quattro got killed saving Shark from a collapsing building, holding onto Rio’s card.
Yuto saw Yuma as a sort of mentor, as someone he wanted to become, but also a brother of sorts.
Vector struggles heavily with his emotions, only feeling they are most genuine when he is with Yuma. After Yuma ‘died,’ he left the resistance out of grief, unintentionally leaving his student behind in the process.
Mirai and Rio were good friends, and she grieves her the most, after Shark ofc.
Everyone thinks Koori is dead.

Alr I’m on vacation but haven’t updated arc c in a hot minute so some fun facts (aka things that won’t leave me alone)
Jaden called Yuri “lily,” as a way to call him Lily of the Valley. It’s often tied to innocence and happiness, which is how Jaden saw his student, and what he hoped Yuri would maintain.
Kai has a little sister, though she moreso haunts his narrative- only other person in Kai’s life who knows about her existence is Vector
Kalika, Jim and Landon all came to duel academy as a trio- they grew up in the same orphanage. Jim’s siblings passed away before they joined the academy
Odion died the day Marik and Ishizu left the tomb for a short while. That day, Ryou followed them home, then reported what happened to his father, who got the authorities involved
joey’s dad lost custody of Joey when Marik and Ryou found him on the streets, trying to join a gang
ryou’s dad passed away 2 years pre canon
Crow and many of the anti Jack Commoners blame Jack for Yusei’s death
yugo still has a soft spot for Jack, hoping he’ll come home one day. He still loves his eldest brother.
Faker is an idiot here. That is all I’m gonna say.
celina loves Ballet and forced Yuri to learn it with her
any questions, feel free to send an ask!
Silly Game Time: The last song you listened to is now the theme song for the rest of your life. Which song is it, and what does that suggest the rest of your life will be like?
(For me, it happened to be Tom Cardy's "Transcendental Cha-Cha-Cha". Which I guess means I'm gonna be embracing the absurdism of existence and start being willing to dance.)
If we count songs I unconsciously heard, because they played somewhere, it’s American Pie by Donn McLean
@elronthemage @sunflowerrosy @loftwingofcrimson @butterfly-teacup
The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny by Lemon Demon. So I'm basically that one dude with Bohemian Rhapsody from JoJo's Part 6 now?

mine is “Get Up” by FAKY since it’s the ed of Legion mate. I love it :D I think it’s good

Short recollection of information on Barians from my source:
I didn't get the time to study it in detail for a multitude of reasons, but from what I can remember the detail that stood out to me initially is that Barians technically do have a heart, but it's not really similar to how flesh-based beings might interpret it as. A Barian heart is a somewhat small gemstone in the centre of a Barian's chest. Because Barians, unlike other folk, don't have blood, the heart's purpose is instead to pump chaos energy around the mineral body to keep it functioning (so really, one could say that the chaos energy is the blood for Barians. I imagine they could probably die or pass out from "chaos loss"?).
Barians also don't have lungs per se; due to the small amount of oxygen on Baria, the anatomy is more similar to certain amphibians where oxygen is absorbed through the "skin" and thus enters the body from all angles, not requiring blood to transport it around. It's also why Barians lack a nose and a mouth - they have no trachea to connect to. I'm not sure about the exact use of oxygen in the Barian body (as it seems that they don't actually breathe in the traditional sense of using oxygen to maintain vitality, which is why they can stay in spaces devoid of oxygen), but I theorised that what likely happens is that with oxygen entering the body certain parts of it oxidise, likely the parts on the surface, thus creating the hard exterior. Kind of like rust. The minerals seem to not be the same as the ones one could commonly find on Earth, which is why they can move freely and flexibly like anybody made of flesh (but from what I looked into, I can imagine it's literally some kind of mineral that has a structure similar to Copper(II) acetylacetonate, making it flexible). My guess is that the crystalline structure of the minerals that make up their body, which is initially flexible, changes during the oxidation process as that's how the hard, non flexible parts of the Barians are formed. Albeit admittedly my first assumption was that those parts were more similar to things like horns, claws, beaks, etc and thus made up of either bone or keratin... but Barians don't have bones, and it doesn't seem they have anything made of keratin either (the claws are still mineral, just more solid), so that made no sense in the end. Mizar told me that the oxidation process is influenced by temperatures and humidity... when his "hair" was going through that process, he spent a lot time in the underground caverns of Baria which are full of water vapors, and thus for a reason I'm not sure about instead of solidifying like expected his "hair" remained flexible.
My assumption is that during the process the water particles made their way into the crystalline structure of the mineral and formed a different kind of structure, something more similar to a non-newtonian liquid perhaps? I believe that if Mizar kept spending a lot of time in the water of the caverns, the hair would've turned into something more similar to liquid or perhaps viscous metal/mineral. It's very peculiar because it seems that, instead of the heat liquefying the minerals and metals, it solidifies them, meanwhile water or lower temperatures in general have the opposite effect, which is opposite to what generally happens on Earth. I'm calling it "water" only colloquially though, it seemed that its composition wasn't actually the same as the water on Earth, which is likely why it had such different properties.
