Kaveh would never say he's a frequenter of Lambad's Tavern. Okay, yes, maybe he does come here more than once a week. Maybe it's true that the regulars recognize him and can tend to his habits. Maybe maybe maybeโฆ
He rarely comes here with the intention of drinking alone anymore. Tonight, in fact, he's waiting on someone special: someone he rarely perceives beyond strokes on paper and carefully packaged treasures sent from overseas.
Last night, he dreamt of this evening, of what might happen. Of you coming through the door again with that familiar warmth enveloping you. Of him presenting his gift to you, saying all of those tangled things. Of you understanding him with your usual ease.
It had been a glimmering mirage, a vision of those times you'd met before. Once, you'd brought him a sketch, another time a beautiful chain for his clothes.
"Could I put it on you now?" You'd asked.
Kaveh has had that dream, in particular, a few times now. When he recalls it, he mindlessly tangles his fingers in the delicate metal adorning his collar, remembering how flushed he'd felt when you'd had him lift his hair, your hands fixing the piece onto him so gently.
You'd called him pretty then. He dreams of that, too.
Those dreams guide him as he takes the same seat he always does at the bar, draws his fingers anxiously over the wooden counter, toying at the edge of the gift box he'd prepared.
He glances at the clock, then the window, and he reminds himself that it's only barely gotten dark out. You would be here any moment.
As his thoughts drift, Kaveh remembers the first time you two met here, then the second. It became a sort of ritualโat least for him. He craves to know if you feel the same way about it, if you still hear in your mind the hums of your first conversation. If you caught him reminiscing, you'd no doubt tease him.
"Thinking of me, are you?"
Of course, he is. Kaveh feels so foolish when he falls into these spirals. Even now, he does it so much and so deeply that he hardly notices the shift in the room when the tavern door opens again, when a familiar presence sidles up to him. He's lost in thought as you take your seat.
"Oh, actually, I'mโฆ" He raises his head, meets your eyes.
"Waiting for someone?" you ask, grinning.
"Seb," he breathes. "I, uhโฆwhen did you..?"
"Just now," you say. "I hope you haven't been waiting long."
Kaveh notices then that he has no idea how long he's been sitting at the bar. He doesn't remember ordering the drink in front of him (the bartender had given it to him out of pity some time ago), and he suddenly feels warm.
"No! No, I haven't." He steadies himself, sits up straighter. "How were your travels? Smooth, I hopeโฆ"
"Everything went fine." You chuckle and reach for him, finger grazing the edge of his hand. "You seem anxious today."
Hesitating, he lowers his gaze, then brings it up to meet yours.
"I made you something."
"Getting right to the point, are we?" you tease. "What is it?"
The box is only just large enough to fill his hands, and he opens it for you, revealing what's inside. There, carved out of stone, is a sculpture of the tavern. He's done it finely: each detail is in its place, each window and door and lamp. You lean closer to find that he's folded leaves into the plants, hollowed out the tiny cups on the tables.
"Oh my god," you say, eyes wide, wondrous, and starry. "Kaveh, this isโฆ"
"It's no big dealโ"
"I love it," you cut him off.
Kaveh wants to say more. He wants to say what he'd planned toโall those thoughts of you that whir, awake and asleepโbut he can't. He feels lucky that he doesn't need to, not when your hand is on his so earnestly. Not when you're looking at him like that. Not when there's so much of the night still ahead of you.

โฆ making kaveh hold his hair up while you put his necklace on for him. the chain is cold n he shivers a little as you touch him so softly, leaving a light kiss in the crook of his neck. he gasps n stops breathing for a second before coughing and dropping his hair in your face. now heโs all blushy n nervous as he thanks you for your help n nearly stumbles over himself to ask you to put it on for him again tomorrow

f/o who doesnโt know theyโre touchstarved until they meet you.
the heavy want grows in their chest and is absolutely undeniably there whenever you two even just briefly touch. when youโre so close that theyโre so desperate have you closer, wanting to feel their body pressed against yours in a tight embrace, that the thought of your hand in theirs is barely enough. when you two finally hug, or whenever you do, they sink into your embrace almost immediately, a deep sigh of content heard as they wrap their arms around you to return the tender hug. itโs a little hard to get their arms off you afterward, with those small mumbles of โjust a little longerโ and โi donโt want to let go yet.โ
maybe theyโre super embarrassed about feeling so at first and are so glad whenever you indulge in their desire to have you, to feel your warmth. or theyโre incredibly stubborn about it but their actions always say otherwise, finding every little chance to have their skin touch yours, to quietly tug on your sleeve or any other sign that you immediately know what they want with it.
eitherway theyโre forever thankful that youโre so understanding. with the little touches you guys end up doing like from simply pushing a strand of hair behind an ear or running fingers through each otherโs hair, theyโre absolutely addicted. smitten, even, so incredibly much that they canโt put their love for this, for you into words.

in my head itโs cynoโs tattoo shop and tighnari owns the floral shop across the street!! i moved to sumeru and starting working at cynoโs shop, which unsurprisingly means kaveh is the florist in this au ehe. his bright mind would be perfect for curating arrangements!!!
as a welcome, tighnari had kaveh put an arrangement together for me when i started at the tattoo parlor. being new and not having many clients, i had the time to .. maybe possibly tattoo the flowers on myself as practice. i didnโt think much about it until i met kaveh for the first time a few days later, โis that a tattoo of the flowers i put together for you?โ โฆ way to make it sound like a romantic gesture or something kaveh! i blushed, nodding a little, โit.. might be. i needed practice shading and i thought the arrangement was really pretty and nicely put together.โ he smiles all bright and cute and starts talking about how he was really proud of it after putting it together and points out the different flowers on my skin as he talks about them and their meanings and when they bloom the nicest and i start falling in love on the spot because heโs so beautiful and passionate and talented and i could listen to him talk forever
kaveh is the very definition of a loverboy. he's effusive with his praise and generous with his affection, and he'd be so incandescently happy to do gay little arts and crafts with you. he goes ten steps beyond matching bracelets and designs an entire jewelry line in the name of your love (but the bracelets you first made each other will always have the most special place in his heart).

if kaveh's being quite honest, he think he might throw up. you're attractive, impossibly more attractive when you're standing right in front of him, and there's no way his heart can handle it. no way.
"so..." you glance at him, shifting your weight from foot to foot.
"kiss!" the word bursts from kaveh's chest, the only survivor in a trainwreck of a panicked thought process. immediately, the regret sinks in. god. you must think he's so weird. you must hate him. he'll never recover from the shame. he'll leave the akademiya and move to liyue, or better yet, inazumaโ
"you're so cute when you're nervous, kaveh," you giggle, and his eyes shoot straight to your face. your smile eases the tight feeling in his chest and replaces it with a familiar sort of acheโ adoration.
"i'm not nervous," he says, nervously. he tries for a joke. "you'reโ iโ well, i just haven't been in the closet for years. it's my first time back."
your smile widens. he does a mental fist pump, and then swoons immediately afterwards. he'd do anything to see you smile at him like that again.
"okay, then, not nervous. you mentioned something about a kiss?"
oh, you're a tease. kaveh nearly chokes on his spit. "yes, iโ kiss. yeah. i'd like to kiss you. please."
"i'd like that too." parade trumpets. wedding bells, even. kaveh now understands the name of the game, because you lean in, and he leans in, andโ
kissing you is heaven. he'd like to do it for the rest of his life.
