I’ve been working on Addie’s story for a while each day since Monday! It feels like forever since I’ve been able to do that or even had the motivation to do it. I’m hoping to keep it up!

Her latest update still isn’t done yet but it’s getting there.

Would you believe her story turns 10 years old this month too? It’s hard to remember a time when her and Jules weren’t a part of my life lol!

I finally made some progress on Addie’s story last night after not opening her Word Document since April! I also attempted a short story for Jules but that fell flat so I switched back to Addie.

A few days prior to that, I spent a few days rereading Chapter 141 of Addie’s story:

I still don’t know when I’ll have her next chapter finished but hey, progress is progress!

I’m thinking about starting a Discord Server for Oasis Fanfiction.

It would be open to any Oasis Fanfiction Writers and Readers age 18 years or older.

The focus would be on tropes such as:

Still spending more time thinking about my stories than actually writing them…

I’ve been working with my donkeys for the past couple of days because I want to train my boys to be sort of pack burros. Then, when I’m in for the night, I tell myself I’m going to write for a bit before bed…but then my pup decides my lap is the best place for a nap.

I’ve been rereading some of Addie’s story and am finally starting to want to get back into it. There’s also another idea for Jules in “The Random Passages” and some stuff brewing for Substack.

On a different note: I can’t wait to watch “The Immortal Man” on Netflix! Husband and I would’ve liked to go see it in theaters but it’s not playing anywhere remotely close to us.

Addie Won!

Not that Jules and I were that surprised though. As much as I’d love to write for her, she knows it’s super complicated and that Addie’s story is much easier to work on.

And look at me acting like These Two actually exist…

Regardless, I finally got back into writing after not doing much of it since Summer 2025. It’s been so long, I had to figure out exactly where I was going with where I left off.

I hope to get more writing done this weekend. I have no idea how much longer it’ll be before the next part of Chapter 155 of “Madferit: The Novel” is done. But hey, progress is progress!

Author’s Note - 1/13/2026

Can anyone else relate?

It feels like forever since I've written anything. I have so many ideas but no ambition to write them. This is definitely a different form of writer's block and/or burnout than I've ever experienced before.

I think about Jules and Addie every day. I really hoped to have Chapter 155 of "Madferit: The Novel" finished and posted by the end of 2025 since I've managed to get one chapter done per year for the past couple of years, but unfortunately that didn't happen. I actually haven't worked on her story since the Summer of 2025.

But I have been re-reading Chapter 148 of it for the past however long since then. Why, I have no idea. It was just a chapter that stuck out to me for some reason so I wanted to revisit it.

As for Jules, I really hoped to have more for her to celebrate her 10 Year Story-versary. I have so many ideas but unfortunately no desire to sit down, type them up, and post them.

I joined The Shut Up And Write Club's Chapter 10 Club where the goal is to get your chapter done within 10 days. I decided to use "The Random Passages" for this challenge because I've got some holiday inspired stories to write for her.

The first 10 days of January 2026 consisted of brainstorming with the goal of starting to write my ideas in the second 10 days.

Welp, here we are and I ain't got nothin'...actually- never mind it's still just brainstorming.

But it's a pretty strong idea in my head. One that's pushing me to write it. I've mentioned those types of stories before where Jules finally gets the limelight because I can't proceed with Addie's story until I get Jules' done first.

I also needed to go back and find a certain part in her main story that will be referenced in this short story. It's been so long, I couldn't remember what chapter this part is in. I find it much easier to remember where certain passages are in Addie's story than I do in Jules' nowadays.

I thought I'd have to go back and read through her whole story to find it but then I finally dusted off her Word Document and found it. So, now I can go back and read it and brainstorm the reference a bit more.

Speaking of documents, I joined Ellipsus as another place to back up my work. I'm still pretty old school in that I prefer to write on Word then copy and paste from there into my drafts on Wattpad and AO3. I need to get better about backing my stuff up on Google Docs and now Ellipsus too.

Due to the length of my stories, I'll probably go in and upload by chapter but I do have the whole documents on there for now. I know putting the whole thing on isn't best practice though. It's a not-so-great habit I need to break when it comes to longfic. Sometimes, I just get in the groove of writing and keep going even when my document gets super long.

Then of course there's my life outside of writing. Y'know, donkeys...puppy...other things I'd love to write about too but again no gumption to do so.

I hope to be back to writing soon as I feel the creative spark finally coming back. I'm not sure where I'll start. If it'll be Jules or Addie. I imagine them two will fight like cats and dogs as they try to help me figure it out.

Happy Almost Australian Music T-Shirt Day!

I remembered You Am I just got inducted into the Aria Hall of Fame this year (2025). While watching the video from their induction ceremony on YouTube, I learned they toured with Oasis back in the day.

This might cause some circling back and/or chapter revisits in Addie’s story…

I got to see Davey Lane last year when Jet brought him with them to New York City! Unfortunately, I had no idea it was him despite seeing him throughout the day as he didn’t look like the pictures and videos I’d seen of him. But then Jet brought him out on stage and I was absolutely shocked! Never in a million years did I think I’d get to see him in-person!

So sad to hear about Mani passing away yesterday. He was my favorite member of The Stones Roses alongside John Squire. He seemed like he was such a character too. 💔
