Welcome to the Stardusted-Hearts AU Roleplay and Ask blog! This is a duel muse blog featuring Sonic & Shadow, with the potential for certain guest muses to show up. My name is Raven, I’m the mod/writer/artist behind this blog. I have loosely used game canon as a base and built from there, adding a lot of my own twists and headcanons and world building! View the Zone/Universe page to see more info and the specific list of games that are canon to this AU.

Warning: this AU is darker than canon, so a word of caution if you’re sensitive to angst, but aside from that there is also plenty of fluff, happiness, action, adventure, and slice of life goodness~

How do you do fellow humanoids?

Hello to new followers and peeps I've recently followed! Just wanted to pop in and let you know that I'm still kinda on hiatus here. I burned out (within a burn out) super hard and I don't think I'm ready to pick up the reigns of tumblr again yet.

For now I am discord exclusive, and I honestly have no clue when or if I'll manage to get back into activity here. Right now it's much better for me to focus on things within discord, while the rest of my attention goes toward art, chill gaming, and trying to find work. I just... can not keep up with things here.

Now I'm not saying never, but again I just honestly have no idea. Could be tomorrow, could be six months, could be never. But I don't wanna leave anyone in the dark, and I really appreciate all my followers and mutuals, new and old.

I've been having a blast on tumblr via various blogs since about 2012. It's been an amazing ride, but within the past year or two real life for me has just gone completely haywire and my mental health has tanked to a new low.

I truly believe I'm on the recovering end of it now, but there's still a lot of stressors at play, and I have frequent relapse days. I'm hopeful for this year and excited to delve further into art again, especially my Sonic AUs and even a completely original project of mine. I'm also trying to pick up animation again!

Thank you to everyone who has RP'd with me and made friends with me, I love you all so much, and I hope I can return to this blog and tumblr RP in general soon!

I have some new muses, as well as re-surging old muses, that I would love to bring to life here. For now, they're bound to discord and the corners of my mind lol

Been a while since I've popped in, just wanna apologize yet again for the lack of activity... You'd think I'd be more active during this month considering how much I love Halloween, but I've just got. Nothing in me right now.

I've got some drafts completed and just sitting in there bc I was planning to do them all and then queue them, but I haven't made any progress in a while.

I think the change in season just really kicks me down every time, and between that, life stress, and often feeling yucky/exhausted I'm just. Bleh.

Luckily Arrow didn't seem willing to discuss it at length just yet either, and just narrowed his eyes at the other in a playful way. "Maybe next time you sleep over mention that beforehand, yeah? Now come in for breakfast, you can try t' gain back some of the calories you burned last night."

Sonic couldn't help continuing to chuckle, even if he began to look a little more bashful about it, rubbing the back of his neck. "Heh... sorry! I've been doin' it for so long sometimes I forget who does and doesn't know."

Honestly, he was just relieved it wasn't something more serious, and that his sleepwalking hadn't caused any major problems. This may have been why he was a little reluctant to stay over at someone else's house at times. But he wouldn't need to be told twice to come in for breakfast, quickly getting to his feet and stretching.

"Ha! Did I run around that much? Not that I'd ever turn down breakfast..."

Maybe over breakfast he could tell the couple anything else they needed to know, now that he was thinking of it. Arrow already knew about the hallucinatory episodes Sonic could have, but there were nightmares too, and sometimes he would sleepwalk during said nightmares.

"If it ever is a problem, though... and you're not sure what to do, ya can call Tails. He's been dealin' with my shit since I was a teenager."

They were all still using her as a comfy spot to lay, but they were nothing if not curious about a new scent. Once they moved, so too did the teen and she carefully, with the help of mama, moved all the kittens but the curious orange one back into their luxurious cat bed. Now the hero would be able to have all the time he wanted to get to know the kitten without being disturbed by the others. While she didn't say it, it was easy to see the emerald eyes hopeful that everything was going to go well.

"Hey~!"

That hopefulness would be reflected in Sonic's eyes as well when he arrived, along with excitement. With Boomer trotting along at his side, her raised tail showed that she was happy to be here too. Moments like this made Sonic all the more grateful for his ability to communicate with feral animals. Boomer knew exactly what was going on and she was all about it.

The site of all those kittens piled on Harmony was adorable, and if given the chance Sonic would snap a photo before they all went back to their bed. Save for the orange one, who seemed to be just as curious about them as they were about him. Boomer stayed back long enough to let Sonic greet the kitten first, not wanting to overwhelm him, and took that moment to butt her head against Harmony's leg instead.

"Hi there, lil' guy," Sonic spoke softly as he knelt down to offer a hand to the kitten, grinning ear to ear at how adorable he was. If allowed, he'd be given him all the pets and scritches he could want, and after a few moments lifted his gaze to Harmony.

"He's totally adorable! And so big! I love him," he told her with a wagging tail, but after a moment he suddenly looked a bit sheepish, pink dusting his muzzle just a little. "Do ya think... Shadow will like him? I was actually plannin' to give him to Shadow as a gift, since he loves cats and I think he could use a lil' buddy. He'd still live with me though, since Shadow's really not home enough to take care of a kitten on his own."

For a moment Sonic just stared. Blinked a few times. Then cracked a smile as laughter burst out of him. Promptly burying his face in the furniture he was still laying on to hide his embarrassment, but Chaos. Space grass? Arrow eating a horse? It was too funny.

"I- I'm sorry! Hahaha!" Lifting his face, he smiled at the couple as he sat up. "Sounds like the kinda nonsense I get up to when I'm sleepwalkin'! But no, I don't remember a thing! Sorry if I caused any trouble or worried you guys."

It was fortunate that Shadow had already learned to recognize the unique energy signature that came from Chrys, so he was only on edge for a moment when he heard that rustling. By the time they popped their head out he already knew it was them, and smirked subtly at the sight and their excitement.

The slight caution in his steps as he approached was more from habit than any lack of trust in Chrys, but it only took a second or two for him to reach them. Smile widening a little as he furrowed a brow. How could he refuse?

"Hm... sure," he accepted, reaching out to pick up a juicy looking apple. Rolling the item in his hand for a moment to inspect it, before giving it a good crunch between his teeth. "Thank you, but where did you find all these?"

It didn't take too long for the slumbering hedgehog to notice the absence of his boyfriend, missing the soft warmth beside him, and rolled over to try and feel for the hybrid. When Star found nothing he began to wake up, just in time to catch a few of those words.

Blinking, then furrowing his eye-ridges. Quills bristled.

"Who called you their husband? Do I need to kick someone's ass?"

The younger hedgehog had woken up just as confused, considering he'd found himself on outdoor furniture. He could have sworn he'd fallen asleep indoors. The strange looks from the couple only perplexed him more.

"Uh... sure?" his tone was uncertain, even worried. The couple's faces and Arrow's tone had concern starting to well up that he may have had some kind of episode. A bad one. "What um... what happened, exactly?"
