i keep seeing precure fans on pinterest beefing with people who watched glitter force at 6 and are nostalgic for it despite knowing what it's from now, and this is a generation xerox of older og sailor moon fans who only saw the old dub and still insist it's good out of nostalgia vs younger fans who grew up with the internet and had access to the real thing from the start. except glitter force fans don't even have the seniority or OG status that makes me respect people who watched sailor moon in the 90s even if they don't always get what they're talking about
i like to think that setsuna accompanied inori to church just once. not out of any interest in the religion, but to understand her friend more. some of what was said really hit different to her, but at the end of the day, she decided organized religion wasn't for her. that conclusion didn't come as a surprise to the others, given that she's a cult survivor. she did however accomplish her goal

thinking about this again so here's an explanation of what this would entail, for the non-gamers.
So basically, Labyrinth of the Forsaken (no relation to the dystopia from fresh) is a video game that can be thought of as Inception but scarier and about a girl looking for her "dead" brother, who's been possessed and corrupted into a monster. There's still some of him left in there, but in his current state, he's creating abominations and is a danger to the entire dream world (which is portrayed as akin to another dimension, no less real than the awake one)
other things of note include:
Amy (game MC) hadn't seen Thomas (brother) in person in years before his sudden "death", and is shown to be deeply regretful of how she was less than understanding about his experiences in the original trilogy. When she rereads her last words to him, she notes that it came off as way harsher than she intended.
Thomas' journal mentions that he wants to experience a lucid dream so he can do stuff like fly around and save people as a superhero, which can easily be likened to Pikario wanting to be a PreCure
The terrifying monsters that corrupted him appear made of darkness save for the glowing white eyes, and are usually referred to as the Night Folk or Shadow People. A wordplay on "noir" (which is french for black/darkness) could probably be worked in there
I think that either Lumiere would play the role of Tutu, or it's Yukari and/or Akira getting to play the millennia-old nonbinary sphinx who kills shadow people and was created out of dream travelers' desire for/belief in something that can save them
Himari as Dr Shulzer? Maybe? Because she's a scientist?
Elysio and his desire to create a gray emotionless world to bring about order and peace would make for a good Puppet Master stand-in. IDK bout the other abomination bosses
would the Don't Escape character cameos translate to major characters from other precure seasons appearing?
Major spoilers for the game under the cut, don't click unless you're sure you're not gonna play it, PLEASE PLAY THIS GAME IT'S SO GOOD
Tutu, who has a cool spear, was responsible for Thomas' death via mercy-kill. Wonder if he got impaled
In the good ending, Thomas is saved from being corrupted and becomes a Dream Guardian. He even references the "dream superhero" thing he mentioned earlier. And gets cool wings. Again, if we're likening this to being a Cure.
Amy may have actually spent the entire game in the dream dimension (it's left ambiguous), and Alex's final voicemail to her reads like they're talking to someone in a coma. If you couple this interpretation with the above, this AU gains roleswap/canon-mirroring elements, with Ciel as the one in a coma and Pikario becoming a winged defeater of darkness
