I have been doing a lot of cozy coloring books for fun + relaxation and wanted to start sharing some of my completed pages on here! ❤️ I am still really new to art and alcohol markers and coloring but this is one of my favorite completed pages so far! (Started to crave ramen soo much while coloring this so we got ramen for dinner the night I completed it! 🧸🍜🍣🤤)

So on the cruise Garrett Wang made a joke that Kate Mulgrew never says anything inconsequential. As in, if shes not joking around then she’s looking into your soul and suddenly you’re having the deepest conversation of your life. He made that joke the night before photo ops with Kate. So then the next day my mum and I go up to get a photo with her together. Afterwards, she asked if we were mother and daughter and I said yes. Then, as my mum was walking off, Kate clasped my shoulder to get my attention, stared intently into my eyes, and with an incredible amount of emotion said “enjoy this time with your mother, you’ll miss her when she’s gone”. Then all of a sudden I’m needing to move even though I’m still processing that moment, while Kate is already getting ready for the next photo op. So uh, yeah. Garrett is absolutely right.

Kevin: Oh no, I'm not doing this for you. He didn't smile at me this morning and I'm angry about it.

Spending time with kids always reminds me how much I love the way they play. I’ll be like “hey kid look, this little bug is called an isopod it’s related to crabs and it eats dead plants” and they’ll immediately respond with something like “cool let’s play isopods we have to collect dead leaves as fast as we can and if we don’t get enough we die of starvation and have a bug funeral”

What an amazing way to process new information or explore an idea! It’s important to remember these kinds of games are not random or pointless; playing is how kids learn.
