what software and brush do you use? your art is soooo smooth like butter

I cannot get this line out of my head for the simple reason that it makes it impossible to ignore just how completely alone Laura was and also see the role Dr Hayward and in extention the entire Hayward family played in Laura‘s final days.

The quote may read like a genuine admission to their love for and faith in Laura, but beneath talks of angels and salvation lies a deathly passiveness, a guilty attempt to obsolve oneself of the responsibility of knowing. It falls into the theme of love and how it does not exist as this pure, action-driven concept. It is intertwined with all that makes our perception of the world ours; be it our need for preservation (be it of the self, the other or the world around us) or how much our projection of the other may keep us from admitting new truths about them. It‘s also essentially what dooms Cooper.

Laura is loved by everyone but no one has it in their heart to quite confront what Laura is outright telling them; that she will be gone. They know that through seeing this truth, they‘d have to act on it. The Hayward‘s, being one of the few doors left that take her back to the part of herself that she believes she is loosing, shut that last door in good will which means nothing to Laura who now has to go home.

You cannot make an argument that singles out Dr Hayward as the one father figure that loved Laura, because it is simply not love itself that makes a difference. Knowing glances are why Laura meets her angel in death.
