Another Short Ask List About Love.
Does your OC believe in love at first sight? Have they ever been proven wrong about this in the past? Or did they once mistake mere sexual attraction for the stirrings of the heart?
Is your OC considered a sex symbol in their society or beyond? If so, then how do they feel about this? If not then would they like to be?
How does your OC feel about public displays of affection? Are they intensely private, with not even a furtive glance between them and their significant other when out in the world? Or would they be entirely unable to keep their hands off their beloved, even with a full audience?
Has your OC ever been separated from someone they love for an extended period? How did this affect their relationship? What (if anything) did they do to keep their connection alive during this time?
Does your OC ever read (or watch) romances? How much has their attitude and approach to relationships been affected by their exposure to romantic literature or other art?
To what extent does your OC need to feel like an equal in a relationship? Would they be content – or even aroused – by a power imbalance in terms of wealth, intellect or beauty?
Has your OC ever broken someone’s heart? Did they realise at the time that they had? Did they care?
If someone wished to seduce your OC then what approach would give them the best chance of success?
Has your OC ever feigned romantic feelings in order to manipulate or exploit another person? What was their motivation?
Would your OC remain in a relationship if sexual contact was no longer part of the equation – perhaps because a partner fell sick or suffered a serious injury?
Has your OC ever been given a token of someone’s love that they keep with them always? Do they wear or display it openly? Or do they keep it hidden from others?
What time of year does your OC consider to be the most romantic? Does it depend on where in the world they are?
Has your OC ever had a serious crush on another person? Did they ever share this with anyone else? Did anything ever come of it?
Does your OC enjoy it when others are obviously attracted to their lover or spouse? Perhaps they take pride in having a beautiful partner – or perhaps they find the situation somewhat exciting? Or are they ferociously jealous and possessive of their beloved at all times?
How would your OC prepare for a romantic evening? Do they have any particular rituals or ablutions that they always perform? Would they dress in a particular way to show themselves off to their best advantage?
