So remember how this blog is heavily canon-divergent already and I should probably stop messing with canon?

Yeah, no.

So remember how canon went “Anankos magically created a child out of thin air without any other parent involved?” and we all just accepted it?

...

Yeah, no.

Lilith is the second child of Anankos and Mikoto, making her the full-blooded sibling of the avatar. She was born very shortly before the fall of Valla, a mere year after the birth of her older sibling.

Unfortunately in the chaos surrounding the disaster, Mikoto was unable to take her daughter with her. She was separated from her and going back meant taking her other child with her and possibly losing both, instead of one of them. To sacrifice one child for the other is not something Valla’s princess would have even considered had their been any other alternative.

From there she believed Lilith to most likely be dead, not seeing how a newborn infant could survive Valla’s downfall. However, the silent dragon found someone to care for her in the earliest of years in exchange for their (temporary) safety. As soon as Lilith was old enough to be put to use, she was conditioned into being Anankos’ most loyal servant.

Lilith has no idea she even has a mother. Having nobody to educate her otherwise, she fully believes the lie Anankos told her of being born from magic.

Ok so Carrie’s post on Anankos reminded me that clairvoyance was a thing? Which got me thinking on whether or not Lilith would inherit such an ability and thus use it.

I would say that she does have the ability, but not to the same extent as her father. She is a much younger and smaller dragon, after all. Perhaps one day she could see with the same clarity as Anankos, but for now she can occasionally get a small of view what’s to come.

Whilst she can’t fully control her power, it thankfully activates such to show her times of crisis where she may be able to intervene. Usually it’s just a feeling, but she got an outright vision come to her in her dreams about the avatar falling into the bottomless canyon, and unseen figure assisting them. That figure would turn out to be Lilith, having made her way to the canyon after realising her liege may be in danger of falling into Valla all on their own. She had not decided to follow them before this moment.

Part of the reason she is so calm in her BR/CQ deaths is due to having sensed the avatar’s life being in danger, as well as her own. Though she did not know for a fact that she would die, she had warning of the possibility and had already come to terms with it.

In revelations, the ability rarely comes to her. That is because once they reach Valla, Anankos appears to be capable of directly blocking her clairvoyance. The only future she sees is one where he causes her to go into cardiac arrest in return for defying him.

Hey naughty children I heard you like canon divergent muses especially Fates ones because what the hell is the plot-

So yes, below the cut is my attempt at giving Lilith some actual plot relevance in Revelations, as it’s somewhat ridiculous for that to be the only route she doesn’t get a canon appearance in. As usual with my headcanons, I am happy to debate/plot around any of them so that they can be fleshed out, or adapted to work with your muse.

Did anyone else ever get the feeling that some of the relations got shuffled last sec? Like based just on appearance, I high key suspect Lilith and Anakos were originally supposed to be directly related to Azura as opposed to Corrin.

She had just changed back to her more humanoid form as she caught the prince approaching. It wasn’t quite clear to her what his problem was. Yes, formation had dictated that she should have been the most accessible healer for Takumi, but that area of the battlefield seemed to have been going fine. His injury had been visible to her, but so had Azama’s distance... And besides, she had been growing so bored of being relegated to a medic’s position, so the temptation to let loose a little when there were enemies out of immediate sight of their group was too much.

“Did Azama make a mistake, or did you think I was your personal healer? He had the situation under control, so I didn’t think there was any point to me stepping in. Like I said, I’m not about to show off what I can do.”
