To all the people in the comments saying "what if it stings me!?" I understand your concern. It's not fun being stung. HOWEVER there are ways to drastically reduce the chances of being stung:

1. Do not swat at a wasp flying around you. Maintain slow and predictable movements.

2. If it lands on you remain still until it flies off. I understand that it may be difficult for some, but wasps are curious creatures and do not sting unless they are in danger. I have had many yellow jackets and other wasps land on me, yet I have never been stung by a wasp.

3. Just mind your business. Most people get stung by wasps because they are killing or attempting to kill a wasp or wasp nest. However, if the nest is in a place that poses a risk to you or someone else take care of it safely.

I hope this helps. Wasps are important parts of ecosystems by controlling insect populations and pollination. They don't deserve to die.
