It was past midnight in Mewni, the moon hanging high over Butterfly Castle. Moon was not in bed, however, but in the kitchens, rummaging through the cupboards for her one secret craving—cornritos.

Opening the package, she grabbed a handful and stuffed it into her mouth. They were extra delicious when she knew she wasn’t supposed to be eating them— snack foods like it were horrible for her figure.

But no one would know, right ? That’s exactly what went through her mind when the light flicked on.

Moon spun around, hiding her snack behind her back. The evidence was on her fingers and around her mouth, however. 

The two women stared at each other for a long moment.

〚 ♠ 〛‒ it seems to have worked for a moment and then … eclipsa squeaks in surprise . assessing the new situation as soon as she is able to comprehend what’s become of her. she is now a blanket burrito , and she decides there are worse things she could be .

Once Eclipsa is nice and situated, Moon nods to herself. Then she flutters around her room for a moment, seemingly looking for something. She ends up grabbing a princess doll from a tall shelf and flies down to the blanket burrito, setting the toy on top.

〚 ♠ 〛‒  “ i’m afraid that really does not make me feel better . ” eclipsa mumbles , mostly to herself than the currently impossible to reason with moon . slowly she tries moving away from the girl more . a single hand pulling at the webs which latch onto her fingers and leaves her shaking off her glove .

“ darling you’re going to ruin my dress , if i promise to sit here quietly will you … not do that ? ”

Moon tilts her head again, seeing Eclipsa rebuke her webbing. She glances at her hands, almost as if confused. Then, fast as lightning, she grabs the blanket and wraps the older woman up in it tightly. If she didn’t want the cocoon of webbing, then she might like a softer, warmer one. At least this was Moon’s mewberty reasoning.

〚 ♠ 〛‒ she really wasn’t mad at her .  “ well … yes you probably do but that’s not … i mean … ” she ends up making a face as she half-heartedly throws her hands up . “ somebody isn’t angry at me for something or finding a way to pin it on me and i don’t really know how to handle that . ” 

❛ Oh, uh. ❜ Moon isn’t sure how to help her handle it either. ❛ Well. Just...feel comforted in the fact that I don’t blame you ? I know that’s easier said than done, but---ah. I don’t know. It’s alright, though. Really. I don’t want you to worry.❜ Moon reaches and tucks a stray hair behind Eclipsa’s ear.

〚 ♠ 〛‒ eclipsa squeezes her eyes shut as she simply accepts her fate . though she does take a peek out from behind gloved fingers and finds the mess that moon has created . having gone through something similar , well at least having experienced mewberty , she knew better than attempting to reason with the girl .

her gaze snaps around the bedroom , and she tries to slowly scoot away from moon . “ if this is how i end up dying , after everything … i will haunt you . ”

Moon tilts her head.

❛ Dying ? No. Safe. ❜ She wraps her arms around herself to demonstrate. Then her hands spread out and silky diamond-crusted strands pour from her fingers and onto Eclipsa.

〚 ♠ 〛‒ eclipsa peers up at moon through her bangs . how could she not be angry ? her eyebrows knit together in confusion . did moon not blame her too as well now ?  “ but i - ” she isn’t sure what to do now . so she sits up and fixes moon with a confused face . after all , eclipsa isn’t sure how to handle somebody not blaming her for everything .

Moon misunderstands what the confusion is about. ❛ I know what I said before. I was just...hurt. And I have some...I believe as Star puts it most charmingly, ‘ monster issues ’. I just wanted you to understand...I never meant for it to get so out of hand. But I’m not angry with you. You’re not to blame for anything, after all. ❜

〚 ♠ 〛‒  oh this was most certainly not good . eclipsa lacked the ability to defend herself with magic without the wand , leaving her at the mercy of fate  as she doubted she could outrun the girl .

instead she ducks and calls out , “ glossy ?! gloss ! there is an issue ! ” unfortunately she doubts she is going to get any help from him .

Moon misses at the duck, but she doubles back around and manages to snatch Eclipsa up. Her wings flutter about as she takes her through the castle, down the halls of scared men. It’s only when they get close to the master bedroom that girls begin to appear, trapped in what looks like diamond-shaped sticky netting and crying out. 

Moon takes Eclipsa into her room and drops her down on the bed. She stares down at her, almost as if wondering what she would do.
