“Nylocke! Dragon of Positivity!”

So here’s a little bit of a story-

A little while back I was heading to Momocon and was super excited that LittleKuriboh was coming back to there again because I felt like I would finally get the chance to really talk to him! Ever since I started watching his “We’re Still Here” videos I wanted to let him know how it’s helped me and to confirm that those videos do carry meaning and do impact someone and that impact is a positive one. Though with how things usually end up for me, I figured I wouldn’t actually be able to say what I really wanted to say to him (I even practiced it a couple days before the con) and sure enough the first time around I see him at his booth I got out the very basics of what I was planning on saying (when I get nervous I start to forget things…).

To redeem myself I went to his “LittleKuriboh Unabridged” panel and was able to fully get out my sob story on how I struggle with depression and anxiety but despite all that I was able to learn to love myself by saying to myself everyday that “I am the shit, I deserve to be loved and nobody can tell me otherwise.” and so I wanted him to know that he was genuinely loved and adored to by so many people and yea I cried and we hugged (and people came up to me at the end of the panel and after to pat me on the back and I got a lot of hugs and very nice comments and that was nice)

Anyway, I promised martininamerica I’d do a drawing for him and I ended up going with Nylocke! Because despite whatever hell or hardship you go through there will always be someone there to remind you that you’re not alone in the struggle.

Also because I kinda wanted you to say a little something as Nylocke but I forgot….

That’s an awesome picture - and thank you for your story at the panel. You opening up helped a lot of people out. Had so many people come to me and tell me how impressed they were by you.
