Sacred fruit
The flower and his sunlight ☀️
I didn’t have a suitable offering bowl or plate for Hades (all my bowls had been dedicated to other deities already), so I made a wee one myself !!
It’s far from perfect, but making it felt really comforting. It’s a bit of a simplified pomegranate, because I didn’t want the design to distract from the offerings themselves that’ll be placed on it (including real pomegranate seeds, haha). 🤍

soft-armed epione, pacifier of all,
i am aching to be held, come upon me
like the dawn discovering a downed bird
twisted and crying for relief, lift me,
merciful wife of the famed healer himself,
soothe the burn, set the bone that turns.
mother of health, of radiance, of cure-alls,
be a cool balm beneath my burning skin.
coax the pain from me, a day, a minute...

Disabled Witch Tips!
I'm a disabled witch and it kind of got me down thinking i couldn't just go out and walk in the forest with my deities or do much of anything. I am bedridden most days because my body just can't do normal life. To counteract the bad thoughts about my inability to do shit, I came up with some witch tips that may help more than just me. Feel free to add your own!
Craft Tips
Use energy work to create energetic spells that dont require any ingredients and send them out.
Keep spell oils like protection/grounding/attraction/etc near your bed so you can always have them within reach and use them whenever you need a little boost
Enchant your bedside snack pile (i know you have one, i have one too) for strength, clarity of mind, psychic abilities, or whatever else you have a need for. Each time you eat that enchanted snack, it can give you a boost.
if you have a tablet, make spells with the art program on your device. Use color magic, symbols, sigils, etc, so when you charge your device, you charge the spell.
Keep your tarot decks near your bed so they can still have access to your energy (bonding) and they are in close proximity to you so you can do divination from bed whenever you need to.
Keep everything near your bed for easy access - some basic herbs, witchy books, grimoire, etc so when you have the spoons, you can just grab and go.
Do you drink tea or coffee? Make it into a potion, stir clockwise to bring things in to you, anticlockwise to banish.
Cleanse with energy work or by lighting a little white tealight you can keep nearby. Cleansing doesn't have to be a big deal and can be simple. Whether it's just lighting a stick of incense or energy cleansing. Low energy is what we are going for lol
Deity Work Tips This one took a while for me to figure out. I felt so guilty i couldn't keep up on physical offerings and felt like shit for it, Maybe this could help you feel a bit better and more confident about practicing deity work while being disabled like me.
You don't have to give big offerings once a week or whenever you think you need to. Throw that out the window. You are not able-bodied and your brain chemistry is all fucked. Your deities know this. If you need to do so, let them know.
Sometimes all you can do is light their candles, and they know that, they're okay with it. They are never going to push you to do things that you cant or dont want to do. Lighting their candle is honoring them and if that's all you can do some days, then so be it. Your deities arent going to leave or be disappointed in you for not being able to be… well, able. I light incense for my deities on a daily basis because it's quick, easy, smells good, deities like good smells, and i can just light it and leave it. They love it. I always have lavender incense and dragon's blood on hand for them.
If you have the spoons to do so, invite them along on your errands or adventures, or even to keep you safe and calm when going to the doctor or to therapy.
If you have the spoons and a garden (even an apt patio garden like me), just dedicate your plant care to a deity. I dedicate mine to Cernunnos. I dedicate my housework to Hestia, drinking water to Lucifer, Studying to Stolas, etc. Offerings can be preset if you state it will be so, and you can do those things without thinking and it can be an act of service in honor of that deity. Just expressing your gratitude to your deities can be enough as well. Most days i am unable to do much else and they appreciate just your appreciation. It's okay if that is all you can do.
Jump on your phone or computer and learn their epithets or mythology. Read up on them or the mythology of their pantheon. They love when you learn about them, their pantheon, or the culture they come from.
Just have the spoons to play games? Make your deities in The Sims, or make them an altar in Minecraft, or even a whole temple. Play Assassin's Creed Valhalla for your norse gods, Odyssey for the Greek/Roman gods… you know where im going with this. Dedicate your gameplay to them or just invite them to watch and play with you. I always invite Loki to play DnD with me. He thinks it's great. They love spending time with you any chance they get.
Just want to read your fantasy books? Make it an offering. Self-care? offering. Taking your meds? OFFERING.
They know you likely aren't going to be able to do a bunch of crazy shit and do big offerings whether that is financial reasons or spoon reasons, little acts of service or little offerings can go a long way. Don't get down on yourself for doing whatever you are capable of.

Apollo the bringer of disease
There is a post circling about how although Apollo is a glorious healer he is also the bringer of disease. This is completely true. Anybody who has been following my blog for awhile knows I am sick with multiple conditions that has left me dependent on a wheelchair and tons of medication. This seems to confuse people since I am an Apollo devotee. Since this post got popular I’ve been getting a lot of messages and asks along the lines of “Why are you devoted to Apollo if he hates you?” 1) That is hella fucking rude. 2) I don’t view my condition as a curse but a blessing in disguise. 3) Every time I have been close to death (even before I knew about him) I have felt Apollo with me and guiding the doctors and nurses helping me. Without his presence I am sure I would have died years ago. 4) By growing up sick I have developed a strong sense of empathy and compassion. I have devoted my life to healing people. Currently I don’t know how yet, but I will do it. Already I am the creator of a support group for teens with chronic illnesses, disabilities advocate, and an educator about epilepsy. So don’t be fucking rude. Thanks.
What To Do About Spiritual Burnout
Pace yourself. Don’t feel like you have to get back to where you once were in your practice right away. Try one tarot card a day. Do some light energy work this week. Schedule a day to make a tasty potion and then watch a movie while you enjoy it.
Plan in advance. Maybe you can get yourself hyped for a big ritual at the next full moon! Write down a day in your planner for a cool event and ration smaller preparatory tasks leading up to it.
Practice passively. Set a jar on your porch for when the next rain happens to fall, or throw some rose quartz in your makeup bag for your next night out. When you rediscover these things, it can really spark interest and motivation again.
Explore nature in solitude. Go for a nature walk and collect fallen leaves or wildflowers that you can use in future work. or, just soak in the awe of earth herself.
Research. When you have free time, have a big research day on herbalism, crystals, your deities, whatever holds your interest.
Glamour magick. One great active spellwork activity you can do is glamour and self love magick.
Take a break from it. Sometimes we need one. Go out with friends and family, focus on school or work, and try your best to remain hopeful.

“I’m Not Getting Sick!” Broth
Whenever I have a day where I wake up feeling gross and I feel off all day, but I’m DEFINITELY NOT GETTING SICK!!! this broth is my go-to. It’s got immune boosting ingredients to help you fight off whatever you’re definitely not coming down with. It’s also comforting and helps relieve cold & flu symptoms, so if a couple days later, you’re like “Bleh, I’m sick” it’ll still help.
Ingredients: 3 cloves garlic 1 inch ginger 1 cup garlic paper & skins (if you’ve got it, if not add 3 more cloves garlic) 1 cup onion peels & trimmings 1 cup carrot peels and trimmings 3 dried hot chilis a bunch of peppercorns a generous pinch of salt
Take the ginger and cut it through the skin almost to the middle in a slit down the side. Repeat this all the way around so it’s still one piece but has a lot of cuts around the sides. Put everything in a pot or pressure cooker with 6 cups of water. On the stove, simmer it for about 30 minutes, in a pressure cooker cook at pressure for 10 minutes. Let it cool, strain it, and store it in the fridge.
To use it, I’ll throw some sliced carrots, tofu cubes, green onions, or whatever I’ve got in this and bring it just up to a simmer. Sometimes I’ll add miso paste or gochujang and stir it to dissolve. Drink it while it’s hot and you’ll feel your sinuses draining. You can also add a dash of vinegar (rice or cider) to help it clear any throat congestion.
An alternate version, if you don’t have ginger on hand or plan on using it for more European cuisine is to leave out the ginger and add a teaspoon of thyme and a teaspoon of oregano (maybe rosemary or sage, if you’ve got it). You can also add some mushroom (fresh or dried) and tomato before you cook it to make it feel a bit richer.
Garlic and ginger are great for your immune system, and thyme and oregano can help to clear up infections. Vinegar (or lemon juice or what have you) can help to push congestion out of your throat, and the chilis + steam from drinking it hot will help clear & soothe your sinuses.
Feel better! Not that you’re sick, of course…
