Hello! I’ve finally worked up the nerve to make a kin blog because I want more theiran/alterhuman friends!

(While I am foxkin, this blog will more than likely be focused mainly on dragons and space)

I’m aroace, and I stopped trying to label my gender a long time ago (partly for kin reasons but I didn’t know it at the time). As for other labels, therianthropy is a messy, highly individualistic experience. I tend to think of myself as alterhuman, because my humanity is just as much a part of me as my nonhumanity. I will respect your experiences, and I ask that you respect mine in return.

I can’t say how active this blog will be, but all of my kin thoughts will go here. Please feel free to interact! Just don’t be a jerk; I am trained in the ways of the block button

yall my coworker keeps calling me a dragon as a joke bc i said I was a dragonborn not a lizard person a few weeks ago when we were joking about conspiracy theories and somehow it immediately escalated from that to just dragon

its kinda weird considering a new kintype when physically its kinda just a mix of my two confirmed types. my fox shifts can be a bit strange because of the constant dragon phantom limbs so I kinda just end up as a fox with wings, which is, with appropriate changes, just a hawkfox (a homebrew dnd creature). which leads to the constant back and forth of 'was i always a hawkfox? or am I just getting confused?'

The clouds from my driveway tonight! My phone picked up a lot more pink than I could see with my naked eye. The only thing I can think about right now is being able to fly and seeing them up close

being alterhuman with chronic pain and an unfortunate tendency towards joint pain, especially in my lower body, sucks. I want to do quadrobics. I can barely walk on two legs my knee hurts so bad. My wrists already go through enough between my job and my hobbies. My lower back starts to hurt. I want to walk on my toes because that's the closest I can get and it makes me feel euphoric. I just spent all day on my feet and my ankles hurt too much. Anything physical I want to do to express myself, my human body prevents me from doing. and don't get me wrong, I'm comfortable enough in my identity that I don't feel a loss at not doing quadrobics, and I don't really feel the need to putwardly express myself like that, but it would be nice to be able to do it. I still feel something of a disconnect between me and the rest of the community because I can't do quadrobics and I see so many critters on here talk about it and how its such a vital part of their self-expression and I want to be able to share that experience.

what do you mean it have to go to work in the morning? I'm literally just a dragon youre gonna make a dragon spend all day in a small room making waffle cones? I should be outside flying or sitting in a dark cave avoiding the heat not do stupid human things like working

Something about feeling like A Creature in a human's body.

Something about not knowing How To Act human anymore, or at all to begin with.

Something about wanting so desperately to still be seen as human that you spend hours of your time studying The Others.

Something about not being Human Enough that It peeks through if you aren't careful.

Dragon rider who feels envious of their dragon. Of their scales and powerful body. Of their ability to fly. Oh how they wish they could be a dragon too, perhaps even closer to their dragon than what their human body would allow.

What the rider doesn't know is the dragon can read their thoughts and has known such pain before. That the dragon knows how such a wish could be granted but is unable to communicate how to do it. All the dragon can do is comfort their rider until they discover the secret for themselves.

its consistently warm again and I feel pretty in tune with my dragon self again and not just my fox self. Which is odd bc I'm not an arctic fox and my dragon self is used to the colder temps but I'm just along for the ride ig
