He could stare at her for hours on end and everything would be perfectly fine. Everything would feel irrelevant. The pink color in her cheeks only making it all the more fulfilling as he moved his hand to gently caress her skin. âWhy do you need to get things done? Lifeâs too short to not grope a bloke,â he teased softly but soon enough, the sweet smile that was on his lips faltered ever so slightly as she listed the things that she wanted to do. But he knew werenât possible. That she knew werenât possible. Of all the people he could choose to fall in love with, why did it have to be someone from the most well known family in the wizarding world? It almost made him regret ever accepting to come to Hogwarts in the first place. Running his thumb against her jaw, his head cocked to the side, âHow about whenever we see each other, Iâll let you do all those things. No questions. The moment you see me, you get in your dosage of gropes, a million kisses and as much holding as possible. Talking might not be an option butâŠâ he shrugged but it was something.
âI wasnât aware that she had friends. I thought she was just some life sucking leech looking to make everyone miserable. A dementor with a face,â he remarked with a slight hint of bitterness but it wasnât something that he could avoid. He never could. But Ted did his best to keep his mouth shut everywhere else since he didnât want to end up in a situation where heâd be in the hospital wing for days or worse⊠going home in a coffin. However, that wasnât something that he wanted to think about in that particular moment. He wanted to think about the little necklace he now was never going to take off. The little necklace that would always make him feel close to his star on earth. âI do, I bloody love it,â he assured her, leaning in for a moment to press a gentle kiss against her lips before straightening himself, âOh, she makes me very happy. Maybe Iâll introduce you to her one day. I think youâd quite like her since youâre both the height of dwarves,â he teased innocently, slipping the necklace inside of his shirt so it remained hidden from the outside world for now. Ted had meant his word; he was never taking it off. It was now his most prized possession.
That little moan sent shivers down his spine that he had been desperate to feel again. This was something that heâd have to hold onto for who knows how long and the Hufflepuff was going to cling to his girlfriend for as long as sheâd allow him considering heâd often struggle to let her go. His hands grasped at her hips as he made sure to hold her as close to his body as she could but quite frankly, it would never be the same when they had layers of clothes on and he was used to this happening when they were only in their school uniform. Not that that didnât get in the way either. As she brought herself up, one of the boys hands instantly went to her bum while the other held onto her thigh, slowly trailing up her skin in the process as a deep moan escaped him the more she deepened the kiss. A pout formed on his lips the moment that she pulled away but was quickly replaced as a gentle grin appeared in its wake. He couldnât do that considering one single mark on her would raise suspicions. The hufflepuff could hear his heart rattling in his chest as he tried to steady his breathing, hoisting her up a bit further as he looked at her like a love struck puppy. âShe can claim everything she wants but Andromeda will always be the only one that I need,â he mumbled softly, reciprocating the kiss gently, âYouâll be pleased to hear that youâre all I dream about every hour of every day. Youâre everywhere I look to the point that sometimes I canât even do my coursework. Are you sure you havenât given me a potion?â Ted joked, nose gently nudging against hers.
Why had she even brought up Bella? Just the mention of her worked Ted up, and as much as Andie hated how her sister treated others in school, how steadfast she was in her narrow-minded beliefs, she was still her sister. Her older sister, who sheâd once upon a time looked up to, who sheâd followed around like a shadow, desperate for her attention and approval. Those days of innocence seemed like a lifetime ago. Bella had been brainwashed, just like so many Black family members before her, to follow the belief that anyone who was not like them, anyone who wasnât of the purest of magical blood, was scum. And while Andromeda had been taught the same beliefs, had listened to Cygnus Black bellow about blood traitors and Mudbloods soiling magic, sheâd never held hate in her heart towards any Muggleborn or half-magical person sheâd ever met, especially when she came to Hogwarts. Though the Black family name certainly kept most people at a distance, thanks to Bellaâs notorious bullying and torturing of her peers. And then sheâd met Ted and heâd somehow wormed his way into her heart, and now-- she struggled everyday in being who her family expected her to be, when loving Ted Tonks with every fiber of her being went against all of it. And he knew how much Ted hated her family, but especially Bellatrix.Â
âLetâs not talk about Bella,â she murmured, her hand smoothing over his face, desperate to distract him from her sister-- not wanting them to spend what few moments they had left talking about her. âIâm glad you like it-- and I canât wait to meet this Aurora you keep going on and on about,â she muttered dryly, fighting a smile pulling at her lips as she watched him tuck the necklace into his shirt. She moved her hand over it, near his heart.Â
Andromeda could feel time slipping away from them as their lips pressed frantically against each other, making the most of what little time they had left-- she ran her hand through his hair, and the moment was over much sooner than she wouldâve liked-- she wanted to do nothing but that. For hours. Without worrying about someone walking in on them and catching them. Without rushing and stealing stolen kisses behind tapestries and in empty classrooms and sneaking off to the Astronomy tower or out to the lake in the dead of night. âYouâre all I can think about, too,â she admitted to him with a shaky laugh, looking up at him from hooded eyes, lips and cheeks slightly flushed. âYou caught me. Iâve given you a love potion. You never stood a chance, Edward Tonks,â she murmured softly, brushing his hair away from his face, her heart swelling as she peered up at him. She loved him. With all her heart, so much it hurt. It hurt to look at him, hurt to be in his arms-- and yet she was so happy when she was with him. She wanted to be with him all the time. But their circumstances werenât exactly ideal. At least, for now. She hoped.Â
âI have to go,â Andromeda quietly mused, knowing sheâd have to get up to the castle before Bella and Cissy did. She didnât even know how long she and Ted had been standing there, hidden away, but the sun was starting to set, and she knew her sisters would be making their way to the castle for supper soon. But despite this, she tightened her arms around his neck, legs around his waist, wanting to be as close as possible to him. She brushed her lips against his, then along his jaw and down his neck, before sighing softly and resting her head on his shoulder. âWill you meet me tonight?â the brunette murmured, peering up at him as she rest her chin against his chest, smirking slightly as she fluttered her lashes -- flirting with her boyfriend whom she loved and just wanted to spend time with. âMidnight, at the tower.â She leaned up and pressed her lips against his once more before dropping her legs from around his waist and carefully pushing him away so she could try to make her way up to the castle-- if she stayed close to him for a moment longer, she was sure sheâd never make it up in time so her sisters wouldnât be suspicious. âTed? Say you will?â she peered up at him expectantly, from a safe distance away-- not trusting herself.Â
