But then…it had felt easy, it came naturally, and the orders that she had been given, she had done them without hesitation. She hadn’t been born a killer—or at least she thought she hadn’t. Confrontations with guardians had made her this way, and she could never escape the life she had lead because of it. It made her angry at the world, to stop and shout, hoping someone would listen to her plights, but they never did. Who would stop for someone like her? Would anyone be able to save her—stop her?
