Someone’s been reporting Undertale AU blogs for no reason. If this blog goes down, I will be fighting it.
Signal boosting this because it’s important. I’m already taking steps to backup the IF blog, but I’m wary of sharing the url just yet due to this mass reporting spree. This is not okay. Not in the slightest. Several of my friends’ blogs have already been struck down.
Okay, gonna add to this that I know that The More Things Change, Epictale, the original Team Switched blog, Mamar11, and several smaller askblogs were hit by this. I’m sure there are others, too. It doesn’t seem to be strictly restricted to sprite comics and seems to be specifically hitting Undertale blogs. If you know UT content creators, I suggest warning them just to be safe.
I wonder if part of this has to do with updated Tumblr terms of service in some other countries increasing the minimum age for users. I saw some posts about it awhile back warning people that it was upcoming.
Thank you for bringing this to my attention! This could actually be the real cause of at least some of the terminations. I did some looking, and here’s what I found… “The updated Terms of Service and Privacy Policy go into effect on 25 May 2018. If you continue to use Tumblr on or after 25 May 2018, you are agreeing to the updated Terms of Service and our use of your data as set out in our Privacy Policy. If you don’t want the updated Terms of Service and Privacy Policy to apply to you, you can delete your account and stop using Tumblr. Please note that under our updated Terms of Service, users in the European Economic Area must be at least 16 years old (or the lower age that your country has provided for you to consent to the processing of your personal data) in order to use Tumblr.“ We are not 100% sure yet, but if this is the real cause, then this is still hugely important for any European content creators and fans. Have there been other posts about bloggers under 16 getting terminated? I’m trying to find info but am not sure where to start looking. Basically, we should consider this as a possibility! After all, this did start happening on the 25th of May.
