Y’all I’m being so serious when I say this: go to the library for witchcraft reasons.

You can usually find books on witchcraft, yes, but there’s also field guides on local foraging and wildlife, cookbooks, books that teach you how to craft and DIY, books about environmental protection and stewardship, books on how to use herbs medicinally, books about other religions, cultures, and spiritual practices. My favorite local library even has a seed swapping program and fantastic resources to research your own family history!

Go to the library for witchcraft. Please. :) <3

Many people think witchcraft starts with spells, but historically it started with observation. Knowing when turtles nested, when certain flowers bloomed, or how streams changed after rain helped people understand the rhythms of the land. That knowledge became folklore, seasonal celebrations, and eventually magical practices. And it’s still very helpful to learn these things. Go outside today and observe something about where you live. Write it down, then go observe that same thing tomorrow or next week, and write down any changes. This is how you can begin to flow with the rhythms of where you are.

🌿 Write in the present tense. Instead of "I want a new job," write: "I am grateful for my stable, abundant career that pays me well."

✨ Be specific. Spirit ain't confused, so don't be. Write exactly what you're calling in or cutting away.

🖋️ Write your petition. Say what needs to be said. Whether it's protection, prosperity, love, healing, uncrossing, or opening roads, let your words flow.

💨 Pray over it. Speak life into that paper. Read it aloud. Call on God, your ancestors, or your helping spirits according to your practice.

🕯️ Dress it & place it. Fold it toward you to draw blessings in. Fold it away from you to send something out or release it. Place it under your candle, in your mojo, on your altar, or wherever your work calls for.
