the theme of spiderman: brand new day being about non romantic love!! the ongoing throughline being that peter needs to not be so alone, that he needs friends. the way jean's story was about her sister. the way frank cried for peter, was soft with him like that, apologised like that because he cared about peter. the way mj's boyfriend doesn't matter at all because what matters is that she's ned's friend. the way the first person who remembered peter was his best friend, his oldest friend because of their special handshake. the way peter being bruce's friend was enough to snap him back from being hulk. the way peter being jean's friend so that she's not so alone is the entire reason we have an ending as happy as we do.

the way these non-romantic relationships are so important to the story.

YES! People were constantly trying to kill Clark (and Lois) back in the Golden Age for being really good reporters. They were constantly exposing corruption and fending off death threats. I DESPERATELY want this movie but it will never happen because all modern movie studios are in the pocket of the US military, but those little rag-tag comics of the 30s and 40s knew that journalists were heroes whether they could fly or not, because the truth is a weapon.

Genuinely making myself go insane with the thought of Robert Pattison’s Batman meeting Dick Grayson. IT WOULD BE THE MOST ADORABLE, HEARTBREAKING SHIT EVER.

For a second, at the end of Supergirl, I thought Krem was going to live because Kara told Ruthye she had to be above killing him.

And then Kara killed him. I remember walking out of the theater and loving the way that was done. Kara is strong, she carries the burden of a world, and she can kill. She was protecting Ruthye, even after she saved her life. It just shows so much about the kind of hero Supergirl is.
