I barely post as it is, I usually do reblogs but I want to further support my black brothers and sisters by standing by them during #blackouttuesday

I will not be posting until 12AM est at the very earliest. I am also not at any protests as I am not allowed to attend any so I am 100% safe. I will post otherwise if that changes but I highly doubt that’s going to be the case.

I encourage all my followers to do the same if they are able (if you need to post to tell your followers you are safe, I’m pretty sure that’s an exception).

More Sini calligraphy. These are all by Hajji Noor Deen (米广江), the first Chinese Muslim to be awarded the Egyptian Certificate of Arabic Calligraphy, which is prestigious I guess. The ones with lots of vertical text look uncannily like Chinese or Japanese calligraphy.

I am conducting research on religion and marital satisfaction as part of my dissertation. I am looking at how religiosity and spirituality impact satisfaction in our marriages. Past research on this topic has not focused on the African-American Muslim community and has looked at religiosity in very narrowly defined terms. This research can be utilized in mental health practices and research to assist Muslims in getting targeted services and developing sustainable marriages. 

I am looking for African-American Muslims who are married or divorced. The survey will take about 10-15 minutes to complete and will go a long way in helping us see how best we can serve our community. I am seeking at least 300 responses to the survey.

 All responses are confidential.
