In my community, it would be more than acceptable – honestly encouraged – to practice Judaism in ways that you might find the most spiritually meaningful. I can totally understand why on some days, a kippa might feel *right* and on other days, not so much. (It’s worth noting that I believe that gender has no place in this decision)

It also would be highly encouraged to research the history of Jewish head coverings so that you could be as informed as you can in making your decisions! Your comment is the essence of what makes Reform communities so special for me: you are in the drivers seat of your Judaism.
