On the table in the lounge. I had no idea that thing was yours, just assumed it would get grabbed by whoever it belonged to. You go the wrong guy here.
This whole thing was a setup to get me to tell you, wasn’t it?
If you didn’t know it was mine, how do you know mine is the one you put in the lounge?

Long story short, I overestimated my ability to stay unnoticed longer than Spangles and since he’s a piece of work I was given a horrible choice: do the team’s laundry weekly for a month or spend 1-2 hours physically incapable of lying.
Since among other things I want nothing to do with Barton’s underwear, or lack thereof I don’t know his personal life, I picked option #2.
So since I was told I didn’t have the guts to extend this on to you guys, Friday January 29th at 7pm EST with as close to 100% honesty as you’re ever going to get, I will be answering things. Real time, not on a queue. At around 1pm EST that day I’ll stop checking my inbox and you guys can start sending things in. Do not send in anything intended for this before that day. I was going to say “before that time” but I want to be fair to people in different time zones.
I’ll get through as many questions as I can in that time, sadly, so there’s a chance I might not be able to get to everyone. I can already say it’s nothing personal. Couple of quick things to consider while you ponder ways to make my Friday hell:
Pepper will be screening questions so The List still applies.
I can’t tell you stuff I don’t know.
If I think it’s true I’ll say it.
I’m not helping with homework.
I am not happy with this situation I’ve found myself in.
That’ll get more detailed later. Everything relating to this, questions and all, will be tagged “Tony Lost a Bet Like an Idiot” so you can avoid it if you want to. We’ve got some ways to cut this short if it gets too bad before the stuff we’re using wears off, too. Anyway, I hope you all enjoy being terrible.

What would have happened had you won the bet? I doubt Cap would find either of the consequences as horrifying as you seem to, and I’m well aware you can be horrifyingly wonderful at being creatively sadistic.
And don’t worry, we all will take great pleasure in being terrible. :)
My options for him included giving the shield a new temporary paint job he couldn’t peel off for a month or agreeing to an interview with a talk show host he hates. Shame I lost, he’s got a long list of those people he can’t stand.

I’d admire your tenacity on this subject if it didn’t actually make me feel sick.
Part of me says you are one thousand percent not my type, Stark.
And part of me says we should dress up in rainbow flags and hold a giant wedding party in Topeka, right in the middle of a specific road. With fireworks. And the biggest cake we can find. Everyone’s invited. We can walk down the aisle to The Star-Spangled Banner.
I actually said business was booming at one point and I think half the board has never forgiven me for a terrible joke I made fifteen years ago.

Why do you guys think I have good advice for coming out this is not an experience I’ve had. Be safe about it I guess? If you’re scared it’ll end bad you’re probably better off not telling them for the time being.
I don’t know how valuable my advice would be, OP, since the last of my family died in 1937. But I‘d start by seeing how your parents feel about bisexual people in general. Maybe mention a current news story. As little as I like the idea of yellow-journalism tabloid papers, they could be useful for something like that. You’d know your parents better than I would, so gauge from their response whether you think it’s safe. If it seems like it’s still not, wait until you’re able to get out on your own without having to rely on them for food and shelter.
And don’t be surprised by their reaction, whatever it might be. I told Natasha by accident and she told me she knew somebody named Adam she could introduce me to, and then started laughing. I would’ve expected her to tell me information like that could get me compromised. It could turn out far better than you think.
I think I threw up in my mouth a little bit.
I mean, some of it could be hot if it didn’t have Stark in it, but you people have some extremely strange ideas about how CPR works.

I was a little bit between the generations you're thinking of, anon. I was still a kid during the Depression. I heard plenty of disapproval about how jazz and liquor got us into that mess, though.

It shouldn't be just a month. Students should be learning about it all year long. Why do we put so many important people in only a thirty-day span and ignore them the rest of the time?
