But answering the question - no, unfortunately there are no official recordings of Star Trek Rat Pack. Band members mentioned repeatedly in their interviews that they'd like to record a studio album and hope they’ll be able to do it one day. But AFAIK there were no definite plans for this before the pandemic and one can imagine that for the foreseeable future it’s not a possibility, sadly. One of the reasons it’s been so long in the making is that Max lives in Europe, so there’s an obvious logistics problem.

STLV 2018 has happened and Star Trek Rat Pack as usual did a terrific job of closing it. Here’s a couple of videos and photos from the event.

This is a recording of Star Trek Rat Pack concert at STLV Convention in 2010. And although video quality is not that great - OMG, what a gem! There’s so many things I’d like to discuss, especially about “Brunt, Shran, Weyoun” song.

1. This is the very first performance of “Brunt, Shran, Weyoun”, and according to Jeffrey it was written no more than 2 weeks prior to the event. Also, we get a date and place for Star Trek Rat Pack debut - it’s STLV 2009.

2. In 2010 Max has written a song for Jeffrey based on Donna Summers’s “I will survive”. I think we all need to know if the lyrics for this song still exists somewhere. I will certainly try to ask Max about this, given the chance ;)

3. Jeffrey still owns this guitar (”Hello, baby!”) and brings it with him for the shows, although not for the overseas ones (he had it with him this year at Star Trek Cruise, but didn’t bring it to Dortmund). Also, according to his own words, this guitar is his favorite posession.

Here’s Jeffrey singing “Brunt, Shran, Weyoun” and totally rocking it! 

Also, if you think the sound in the video is bad - that’s not the recording issue, that’s what the guys had to deal with at the venue during the show. The sound got so bad during the intro song that Casey had to stop the show and explain how challenging the venue was from acoustic point and that they only had time to do the sound check once, and that the audience deserved much better, so they’d rather start from the top. It got a lot better after that but still - the mics sometimes lagged and you can clearly hear the echo. Huge kudos to German public which was VERY supportive despite having to wait for 2 hours for the show to start.

 Anyway, enjoy Jeffrey’s singing and dancing skills - we in the audience sure did! :)

Someone got a great video of the Rat Pack performing Bat'leth Baby(which Casey wrote, by the way) at Destination Star Trek Germany!

This number was easily the highlight of the night (together with Max singing 3 songs in German and absolutely winning the Dortmund audience)!

Last Saturday Star Trek Rat Pack had performed in Westfalenhallen Messe Dortmund as part of Destination Star Trek Germany con. It was a great gig and I’m gonna post as many photos and videos as possible in the coming days.
