tfw you find out your peaceful jedi boyfriend uses slurs
(commission info // tip jar!)
tfw when it turns out you were the one using the slur all along
Thanks to @rebel-hunk-enjoyer for inspiring this reply <3
im learning things alongside din tonight
"Most Tatooine words are slurs"
y'all, i think i've made a friend
what if the reason that the pokemon professor doesn't remember their own grandchild's name is because all of the grandkids are trans, only recently transitioned, and the professor is just more of a pokemon person than a people person. The professor could give you their grandchild's old name, but they're not about deadnaming their grandkid.
One of the biggest gaming sites around was just blown up
Jesus Christ. Polygon's done.
Plante is out as editor. Massive layoffs across the staff, including Nicole Carpenter, Petrana Radulovic, Michael McWhertor, maybe Charlie Hall...
Fucking hell. I wouldn't have even tried to start writing about games without that site. Goddamnit all.

I love seeing list memes where someone makes a "le cool people vs le cringe" and they obviously skew it so they barely scrape by into the cool kids club
You just KNOW this dudes 5'11"
I'm 5'11, but in most casual conversations I'll say I'm 5'9. I do this purely for the chaos that it creates. Because everyone assumes that men only exaggerate their height up, it makes me look like the only person honestly describing their height and thus knocks at least 2 inches off everyone else's description. The panic that the 6'1 guys feel at the thought of being described as 5'11 is hard to understate. I have had people run back to their cars to grab tape measures. If I could get away with describing myself as 4'6 I would.
you are the diametrical opposite of the aforementioned guy. you are a demigod walking among mortals
Quick what are you doing RIGHT now (besides scrolling Tumblr)
I love every fucking part of this.
Please audio on at the end it's so unexpected.
12 frames of animation I made using knitting! I spent a long time on this and I’m so pleased with the results, really looking forward to trying more ‘yarnimation’ in the future. Process video out now too! 🐑
“Stop motion animation doesn’t take long enough already, let’s add textile arts.”
[video description: an animation in yarn of a row of sheep all jumping over a fence in a grassy field. /end description]
there’s a big difference between “i’m sad because a character i was emotionally invested in was killed off” and “this character’s death served no purpose, was used for shock value, and is the product of bad writing and i’m upset about that”
[Image ID: Tumblr post from ot3 reading: this is an awesome post to make if you want to get spoiled for every single piece of media on the entire planet /End ID]
so funny to me when people are like “nooooo you can’t just mess around and do whatever the hell you want with your gender >:’(” what are you, a cop? like WHAT are you going to do about it lmao
you know. i did NOT mean for that image of snufkin to be there but it does add something to this post
Wow, "Batman: Death in the Family" on Apple TV suuuuuuuuuuucks.
Did you enjoy "Batman: Under the Red Hood"? Do you think you'd like it EVEN MORE if it were narrated by Bruce Wayne (in his Batman voice, for some reason, even though he's in public as Bruce), edited out all of Nightwing's lines (don't wanna pay Neil Patrick Harris for this cheapened re-release!), was half the length, and had approximately two minutes of new animation?
And then would you like it to be followed by four unrelated shorts???
Which, oofa doofa, have limited artistic value. First, watch a woman get fridged! Then, some guy is forced to team up with monsters to fight Nazis! Except he actually considers the Nazis to be more human than his comrades. After that! A movie styled after cheap 2000s animation (but with Bruce Timm tits, which, btw, do not become wizened in death). Finally, a short that could drive an animator to suicide, perpetually describing the lead character as an artist, who has amounted to nothing, pleased no one, and when they finally reveal his great work, they didn't even let an artist go off on it, it's still kinda boring almost-in-the-character-sheet symbolism 101.
Wow. I'd have rather paid that money just to hold onto my copy of "Under the Red Hood". The experience of "Death in the Family" genuinely cheapened that excellent movie.
Oh! I found the good stuff. And, credit where credit is due, it was Apple that lost it. It doesn't play when you hit "Play", you have to scroll down to "iTunes Extras". Great work everybody.

So the airbase has a commander whose name is Sergeant. His rank is Lieutenant Colonel and his office is, of course, private.
this is even better than Major Major in Catch-22
For those not in the know, this is one of the Amanita mushrooms referred to as a Destroying Angel. Never, ever, ever, ever forage with an app. Especially for mushrooms.
if you post ai-generated fanfics, it's important that you know i immediately assume you're untalented with no imagination. it doesn't matter if you think your writing will be bad. write it anyway. post it anyway. at least it'll be yours. you are so scared of mediocrity that you willingly live in the shadow of a fucking machine and that could never be me.
