I’m so tired and want to go back to sleep but as I have to get up for work soon, so instead I’m thinking about sleepy shadlink.
I like to think that, behind closed doors, they practically can’t keep their hands off each other, always wanting to be able to close, whether that’s holding hands, cuddling, pressed shoulder to shoulder, more intimate touching, etc, they’re constantly touching each other.
And that’s goes for sleeping as well, they’re big ole cuddle bugs, they will hold each other throughout the night, even in the summer when it’s near impossible.
I feel like Shad probably doesn’t really care about cuddle positions, doesn’t really have a preference though, he can admit, with a shorter man like Link, it’s can be a bit weird with him as the little spoon when he thinks about it too long.
Link, on the other hand, DOES care about cuddle positions. He doesn’t really like being held under something, especially while sleeping. He likes being held, still, really likes it, but when he feels pinned (when he doesn’t ask for it, that is) it’s makes him uncomfortable. He need to be able to move freely, just in case he needs to be ready to fight in an instant.
Basically, all that to say that Link prefers to lay on top of Shad for the most part. He likes being able to press his ear into Shad’s chest and listen to his breathing and heartbeat. He likes that he also gets a say when they get up, refusing to move until they might be late for work or an appointment or he’s finally hungry enough for breakfast.
He also loves it when Shad runs his fingers through his hair, scratching his scalp lightly. He ALWAYS presses into it with a content sigh. He’ll never admit he LIKES being pet, though, he’s not a dog, even if Ashei likes to assert that he’s the closest they can get, even with all the strays running around castle town. Not a dog.
But, yeah, I love those guys. Happy pride.
