Eliot Rahal - February 25, 2015 at The Station
This may seem very familiar to you. Call it "The Long Goodbye." Our plans to pay tribute to Scruffy City comedian Eliot Rahal at last week's show were short-circuited by a rare ice storm. Perhaps it was just Mother Nature's way of preparing Eliot for his new life in the Twin Cities. Well, the jokes on Mother Nature. Eliot is a Chicago kid, so he was probably the only person in Knoxville last week who could have gotten to the show. Nevertheless, with only Eliot there and no audience, it wouldn't have been much of a tribute. So, we're going to try again this week.
We won't say "Goodbye," so we'll just say "Here's looking at you, kid."
Eliot Rahal, Scruffy City comedian and official friend of The Station, is preparing for a new chapter in life with his beautiful bride. Scruffy City's loss will be the Twin Cities gain, but that doesn't mean we have to like it.
Join us this week as we celebrate Eliot's contributions to our comedy stages. It's not a going away party, because we fully expect him to return and play with us from time to time as his schedule permits. But, it is still worth marking the moment by raising a toast of Blue Slip Winery's finest in his honor.
Here's a look at Eliot from his comedy days in Chicago, before life's adventures sent him our way.
