- Theres definitely mixed reactions, depending on the guy.
- For example, I think Brad would actually be pretty accepting of the decision.
- I feel like heโs the type to be training his kid at home before they even go to bootcamp ๐ญ
- He would definitely tell them exactly how it is. All the bad things about the Marine Corps, and all the good things.
- But if it was his DAUGHTER joining insteadโฆ I think the reaction would be a little different.
- Not to say he isnโt proud! But I think he would be more hesitant. Scared almost. (He wouldnโt show it though. After all he is the Iceman)
- I mean, he knows how rowdy Marines can be (cmon, he was one of them), and the thought of his daughter surrounded by them 24/7 makes him worry.
- He definitely pictured his daughter being surrounded by marines exactly like Ray, and thatโs why it worried him.
- But once he calms himself, and realises that his kid is passionate about wanting to be Marine, he will be a very supportive and proud dad.
- Now Nate I think would instantly be like โNo way are you doing this.โ
- Instantly, every bad outcome is going to his head.
- He doesnโt want his kid being in possible danger all the time!
- No matter if its his son or daughter, he will still try and change their mind.
- But once he realises that he canโt, he will slowly just accept the fact that his son/daughter had turned out just like him.
- Wanting to be a big, strong Marine. And in the end, heโs so very proud.
- Lets see, Ray I think would just be glad that his son/daughter didnโt join the Air Force instead ๐
- The mention of the Marine Corps would probably trigger him to start telling all of his stories from when he was a Marine.
- I think he would be pretty laid back about it if it was his son joining.
- Itโs not until his kid is actually sent to bootcamp that it finally hits him.
- The realisation that his kid is in the position he was once in, makes him freak out a bit.
- His daughter joining on the other hand, heโs not so chill about.
- He is scared of letting his daughter go be with dirty minded, immature Marines that could possibly put her in danger.
- But he knows that he canโt control the decisions his kid makes. All he can do is support them, and be by them when they get home. That was all he needed when he was a marine himself.
- Straight up, Doc does not approve of his son/daughter joining and immediately gives them a long lecture on all the negative aspects.
- His kid obviously wonโt like his disapproval, but all he is thinking about is the fact that they could easily get injured out there and he wouldnโt be there to patch them up.
- He tries and tries to talk his son/daughter out of it, but it doesnโt work.
- He will try to keep in contact as much as possible through letters, but he understands how hard it is to find time to reply.
- In the end, all he can do is hope nothing bad happens, and check over them when they get home.
- As soon as the news hits, Rudy is making a list of everything his son/daughter should pack for bootcamp.
- He will remind his kid to exercise in any free time, and try to eat as healthy as possible (but he knows all about the food there, and how itโs definitely not apart of his diet)
- I think he would be too worried about training and preparing his kid before they are sent off, then worrying about the fact that they have joined the Marine Corps.
- Once his son/daughter is sent off, the realisation finally hits him, and he really starts to get sad.
- Any spare time he has, heโs writing to his kid to make sure theyโre doing okay and keeping as fit and healthy as possible.
