I’ve had the worst year of my life. I haven’t smiled in ages. The other night, my family found me on the floor, unable to move. I tried to do something to myself that couldn’t be taken back. Nothing in my life seemed worth it anymore. In the moments where I was weakest, I thought of Stray Kids. I survived my attempt, but I was going to try again. As I held the bottle, I thought to myself “They wouldn’t want me to. They don’t know me, but they wouldn’t want this for me if they did.” I decided not to. Stray Kids is the only constant for me. In a world that is ever changing, they remain. I listened to them all night. I know I’m rambling, but I hope my point is clear; Stray Kids have saved me yet again. They help me to not feel alone. They help me to feel understood. They’ve given me a new family apart from my own, one that understands. I’m recuperating, I’m feeling better, and they help me to smile. I’m rewatching old videos, and I find myself laughing with the boys that make me happiest. I know not everyone will understand this feeling, but fellow STAY, and other fellow Kpop stans know that this is something only our favorite artists can do for us. I’m so thankful for the day I stumbled across the Hellevator MV. It truly changed (and saved) my life.
